I haven’t shot at a live turkey yet but my 12g with a jelly head choke and hevi shot mix is a tight pattern. If it happens, I would prefer to shoot at 20yds or even 30yds vs 5.

That’s why this poll is a fallacy. It’s not one or the other. It’s both for many of us. Primary reason might be meat but it often turns into biggest antlers with the meat. They both become important or at least are to me. Neither is required for a fun hunt however.

LOL - he is probably right that most hope to kill a big buck, but I believe meat is the first driver and antlers are secondary. Not sure how many would hunt deer if they were inedible.

Does Either way, turkey are much more difficult for me. I know my chances of killing even a good buck are way higher.

Sounds like my hunt yesterday, except my big animal experience was a raccoon vs. fox. lol Still way better than sitting in my office like I am now.

Nothing heard here. But I figure only way to overcome lack of birds and skill is shear determination and seat time. Haha. Still a nice morning.

Gotta be honest,4am came real quick. Get out of bed and there is my daughter who got up to wish me well. Normally can’t get her up for school at 6:30. Should have brought her. Next year she is taking May 1 off from school

I saw that storm. Stops east of us in Syracuse but hopefully its all good tomorrow. Snow to 70 degrees in 24 hrs. Only here.

I give you credit. I can’t imagine trying to relearn shooting with my nondominant side. Did you have issues shooting righty and closing the left eye? I know one guy that shoots righty with left. Eye dominance that missed some Deer claiming he would open his dominant eye without thinking. That would stink but I would think closing your eye is easier than trying to shoot with your non dominant side. Plus from what I have seen, you seem to pretty darn good shooting like you do now.

Just plead not guilty and show up when they send you the court date. The ada will reduce the charge in exchange for your plea.
