  1. Those look a lot like some single bevel german silver flame heads I use with my recurve. They are really sharp and spin great. I got them with a bow deal but would not pay the nearly $100/head they cost. These might be a nice alternative.
  2. I want to correct my answer on this. I always assumed it was fully free floated as you can see a small gap between the stock and barrel. But when looking it up, apparently there is a support very close to the action that touches the barrel. It was designed like this by Tikka. Most say that they leave it alone as the rifle is a sub moa gun out of the box. Some remove the stock and down that support to fully free float the barrel to achieve sub .5 MOA accuracy. 1 MOA is guaranteed on all Tikka models. Now I know. lol
  3. I am pretty sure Dan is the treasurer. I am just speculating based on the amount of turkey hunting supplies bought by the county last year.
  4. I will retract that. I think its 0, but I may have sighted it in although I don't think so. So lets say 10 rounds to be safe. None of these rifles have more than 50 rounds through them.
  5. well pull the trigger - these are good deals on some great rifles and scopes
  6. I think the Steuben Co welcome sign reads “Welcome to the Iowa of NY”
  7. Hang in there Jason. Sucks not having any good bucks to hunt. lol
  8. Decided to sell some safe queens. All prices are rifle with scope mounts. Scopes can be purchased separately or with rifle (will discount). I also have quality hunting ammo for each that can be purchased with gun. Not interested in selling ammo separately unless rifle sells first. Located in Rochester but willing to ship at your cost to your FFL. 1. Tikka T3x lite - 7mm-08 - currently sporting a fixed 4x leupold. Like new. $585 for rifle and mounts. $200 plus shipping for scope. 2. TC dimension 22-250 - also has a 7mm-08 barrel ($300 value alone). Currently sporting a Vortex HST 4-16x44 - $750 for rile and mounts. $400 plus shipping for scope. 3. Savage 10A Predator in 243 - includes extra magazine and extra picatinny rail. Great predator or deer rifle. Sporting a leupold vx2 3-9 (pretty sure it’s a vx2. Might be a vx3). $595 for rifle and mounts. $250 for scope. Drum roll on the last one: 4. Sako Bavarian Carbine in 308 - truly a magnificent rifle. Tack driver with gorgeous wood. This is a family heirloom piece. I showed the only mark on the rifle in photo. Retails for $2450 if you can find one and the rings and mounts run another $200 plus. Sporting a Zeiss Conquest HD5 2-10x42 (unbelievable scope too). Buy the $2650 rifle and mounts for only $1900. $800 plus shipping for scope. Pics are not in order but pm me with your cell no. for more pics. These really are all like new. Very few rounds put through them. Original boxes with each.
  9. Looks great Larry. I don’t recall but did he break 150. I was guessing me would.
  10. Prayers sent Apexer. Stay positive. Cancer treatments have advanced tremendously.
  11. Really solid targets. 16 faces. You can use it with broadheads. Obviously they chew it up faster as it’s dense foam but it’s solid.
  12. There was a sale on the vortex razor for $499 at eurooptics. I don’t think you will find better glass for the $$$$.
  13. Congrats Jerry. Praying Cameron and your family continue to be blessed!
  14. Seriously. Dude I am pretty live and let live even if we disagree but that is a F-ed question.
  15. So did you make it to an explanation of back tension? Or did you stop at DONT let go of the release?
  16. Neighbor released the release? Yikes. Could have been much worse.
  17. I recall double lunging a feeding doe with a ST at 20yds ish and she looked up and went back to feeding until she fell over dead a minute later. It was like she had no clue she was hit. They all bolt when hit with a rage though.
  18. From a compound, a slick trick standard is tough to beat. I like the VPA 3 blade for traditional, but I suspect they would be good from a compound too. Personally, I like rages but whatever works and at less than 50lbs with a compound, I would choose the slick trick.
  19. Be sure to practice from a treestand - I hear that ground hunting is illegal in CT
