  1. She is laughing with you tacks, I am sure.
  2. No doubt it will fly like a FP. Does the tip have to push through the plastic when it contacts a deer. Honestly, I always go back to the theory that a well tuned bow will pretty much put a BH with a FP anyways.
  3. I know many have complained about them, but my experience has been spectacular. Huge holes on entrance and exit. That said, I always check to be sure the blades are properly seated in the collar before I nock the arrow as they can get pulled loose. And I shoot a heavy DW with 520g arrows. I have no idea whether your DW and 393g will have similar results but do recommend you check very arrow before nocking it.
  4. Welcome - you will need a new license and tags. I am the world's worst turkey hunter so can't help you much there. In terms of field dressing, the internet has tons of tutorials. Best way to get started is to get started and read a lot!
  5. I only see three photos - probably a tapatalk issue
  6. Will you hire me for hunting season and let me schedule the same vacation days? Please........
  7. Confused as to why people think they are underspinned? If the OP is a right hander, left suggests too stiff. I have no idea what a raider is or its specs and a 350 seems reasonable for 70lbs if not underspinned at 31" but left indicates a stiff spine.
  8. I agree that the loop doesn't change the DL of the bow but a longer loop will allow you to anchor further back with the same DL bow, as culver said, its like a spacer. Not Ideal but may work. Better to be a bit short than long but 1' is a lot.
  9. Ahhh. Honestly, the nock is behind the front of you eye and most say it should sit directly below. But you look like you have some long arms so I don't know whether you could drop to 29". Can you shoot one at that length. TC is right, you could pick up 1/2" with a long loop.
  10. Buy the bow and get the right mods. 1" is a big difference in DL.
  11. I did the same first year (I just stuffed the feet in and didn't have any big antlers that year) but did have some blood stains that needed to be cleaned.
  12. Nicely done TC. Phade generously gave a compound to my daughter that I hope will be passed back to his daughter when she is old enough.
  13. I aim about 2-3" lower than where the bullseye is located on that deer on a perfect broadside shot. With the recurve I do tend to aim a bit higher than a perfect heart shot to allow some room for error. Obviously as angles change its more complicated but generally envision a shot to the far shoulder on quartering away and will aim higher if its a steep downward shot expecting a low exit.
  14. I don't really shoot animals I won't eat. It will get a pass, but photo would be cool.
  15. I don't know Biz, but we have a lot of the fox in the area so I see them regularly. This one was way bigger. Just looked at a pic of a 26lber that was trapped and it looked very similar. I bet we see it again, especially come late Nov. BTW - we have a cat that weighs 21lbs - healthy it aint but holds its own with the 85lb shepherd. lol
  16. what are you suggesting? Although many of the doe do have an eerie resemblance to one of my hunting partners. They also seem to like cameras by nature. hmmmmm.
  17. We have a shepherd and it wasn't that big, but was 3 times the size of any fox I have seen. I am guessing it was a crossbred foyote.
  18. No bucks this way .... can get you on some doe. Not even sure how they populate here without bucks.
  19. Maybe it was the andre the giant of greys. It was huge. Or maybe it was a coyote in fox clothing. lol Hopefully I will see it again and get a photo.
  20. So I was hunting with my daughter Sunday afternoon and the biggest gray fox I ever saw ran by the stand at about 5 yds. My daughter said that thing looked like a german shepherd. I had to look several times to confirm it wasn't a coyote. Not exaggerating, I would have guessed 25-30lbs. Is that even possible? Every other fox I have seen looked the size of a house cat. Wish I had time to photo it but it was not interested in hanging around.
  21. That's an awesome idea Tacks! Have never been into small game but sounds like fun with a good group.
  22. You know, I hadn't considered that. You are correct SIR! BC all time - my place guaranteed if Biz hunts it!
