Hard to say Grow, just looks like a longer nose but certainly not definitive by any means (angle still stinks). It could be a 2yr old for sure and that was my original guess. Just waffling a bit. He would definitely be close to a shooter. Game time decision. Based on what we have seen recently on camera, he may be THE TARGET BUCK. lol

The hook on the rt G2 is pretty neat.

You have far better than average 2 year olds in your area or at least compared to the areas I hunt. Good thing for sure!
-
Most of our cheapo ladders are 12-14' at the platform. We have a few hang-ons that might be a tad higher. Haven't had a need to go higher as far as I know.
-
First time I have had a photo make me look more slim. I will take it! And why were you looking for tan lines?

What happens in Europe is supposed to stay there, but does get posted on the interweb now. lol

I have the entire NFL collection from 1988.

I had to look up the term jorts and found a pic of big val. Uhh, I certainly don't have any of these: https://www.google.com/search?q=jorts&tbm=isch&imgil=wcLBLELH7tmt8M%3A%3BMw2-Lcx7qEnoEM%3Bhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.reddit.com%252Fr%252Fmalefashionadvice%252Fcomments%252F3du720%252Fin_europe_for_the_summer_jorts_are_huuuuuge_here%252F&source=iu&pf=m&fir=wcLBLELH7tmt8M%3A%2CMw2-Lcx7qEnoEM%2C_&usg=__oFYpgXQRjcoAkzc7SRxvYYX1HUQ%3D#imgrc=wcLBLELH7tmt8M:&spf=1506090513227

That's insane, as are your scores!

Lol

Again cheating.

They don't count when killed with a weatherby rifle. No challenge and even less so on big mulies.

His nose does suggest at least 3. I overlooked that. I don't think he will gross 140, but a very nice buck.
-
Tough angle to judge age by body characteristics. Sure the rack says likely 3 (will be more spindly when velvet drops) but he could just be a great 2 year old. He certainly looks a bit long in the leg for 3 and not much stomach or sway, but angle could be misleading. I would guess 2 from the photo, but a real nice 2 year old. I know of one member that might call him a yearling. lol

But think how much easier it will be to hunt deer hunting you. Now you stink it up and sit upwind and just wait!

Read the line at the top - hilarious. I gotta find that on Netflix!

LOL - I think I have seen a few of those form the stand - the killer fawns that is!

I agree that momentum is probably a better indicator of penetration. According to the calculators, my bow is around 44KE (slow) but momentum is over 51 (heavy arrow) and it provides plenty of pass through penetration. That said, I only use fixed blade. The hypos are great for blood trails for sure but I only use those with my heavy DW (82lb) compound.

Not sure what over run is, but yes we have good density in this area. The one property with the highest density (unusual not to see deer in a sit) does not always have the biggest deer, but last year we killed two big bodied deer there including a 167lb (dressed) doe. The property surrounded by miles of ag seems to have the biggest bodied deer usually. The density is still good, but not as dense as the other parcel.

My bow scale goes on the hoist come oct 1. We do have the occasional buck that exceeds 200.

My opinion, why risk it? I would stick with coc head.

For your amusement, yesteday I was trying holds like Paul. 15 sec then 25 then 30. Ok not bad. Then I tried 50sec. The hold felt ok but my fingers seemed glued to the string at release. I couldn't let it go. Lol. Hard pull right and into the block wall. Good news, with the recurve, very easy to let down and draw again. Haha. That's now the plan if required

22yd broadside followed by 12yd quartering. Feeling good.

Cant be, he told me he is only 26.
