NY and speifically NYC is getting a lot of crap for having the most confirmed cases, but thats mostly due to the testing we are doing. No one is testing like us. Of course one of the biggest cities in the world is going to have higher cases than most of the other cities country, but right now its mostly due to the higher rate of testing

Trump also disbanned the pandemic task force also, but I don't hear anything about that on here. Cuomo is doing a better job than trump is right now. 16,000 ventilators also does not make a significant difference at this point. We would still be in a shortage either way. His response to the situation has been the best in the country so far

Im hearing that its still on. But I wouldnt be surprused

When did it become normal not to keep supplies at home ?
ATbuckhunter replied to Nomad's topic in General Chit Chat
I do it. I dont have a big garden (live on a 90 x 45 lot), but I still produce way more than my family can eat fresh (especially when i take care of my grandparents garden in the summer). All the figs and tomatos we dont eat get turned to jam and sauce -
If they really need it, I wouldnt say anything. Every one has the right to feed themselves and family. This assuming that they really do need it

Not too many options where I live other than dicks/field and stream. I buy from cabelas and amazon as much as possible, but its hard for me to get away from field and stream sometimes. Even ammunition I try to buy at a local gun shop, but some things they just cant match in price -
I just got a kayak a month ago, but I cant wait to get started. If you want to karak the wallkill sometime let me know

Some giant bucks in VT and NH and the ones that seem to have the best sucess are the trackers. If I lived there, thats what id be doing

I think its better to have an even grind to be honest. Ill be getting an LEM 5lb stuffer for next year too as well as probably a meat mixer or new grinder
-
Mine is a bit rougher. Couldnt find the finer plates so it was a coarse grind for my venison
-
Definitely learned a lot this year. I think my products will be a lot better next year, but here’s how it looks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah I think I need to add more fat too next year. I got lazy, but next year Ill take the right steps
-
A little dry but not bad at all. I made another batch and kept it at 185 and i think its going to come out better. Theres no fat coming out of the casings
-
Started it at 185, but I gradually upped it to 195. After waking up once an hour the whole night to check on it, I figured it needed to make it hotter than 185. 195 seems to be the ticket

This was a pic I took last night. I learned a little about the cooking process. The 3 pound logs are still cooking believe it or not Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Im stuffing some casing for summer suasage as well. I ended up just buying ground beef at a 70-30 split and added that to my ground venison. I have about 45 pounds of meat to stuff tonight.

Considering Buying a CVA Optima Muzzleloader
ATbuckhunter replied to LICOASTIE's topic in Muzzleloaders
Im not saying its not a good option, I just personally wouldnt limit my self to 4x when its not needed. I keep mine on 5x most of the time in the woods, but I like being able to bump it up to 9x if the shots a bit futher. 4X will definitely serve you well if you choose to go that route OP -
You're not wrong about that!

This is why I love Toyotas above all else. Those cars run and run with out many issues. Ill be getting the Tundra once they come out with their hybrid engine. Only thing I hated about the tundra was the horrible gas mileage

I say why limit your self for no reason personally. Unless i knew all of my shots were going to be sub 50 yards id go with the variable powered scope -

I have the Accura, but my friend has the optima and chef has it as well. Amazing guns, but if you shop around you can get the Accura for the same price. This season I used triple 7 pellets, becuase I couldnt get my hands on BH 209, but like others have said the BH breechplug will be more consistent with loose powder than the stock plug. I got the stainless steel barrel because thats what was suggested to me. The load is up to the gun though. I used 250gr Barnes TEZ with 100gr of triple 7. It was extreemly accurate, but I hated having to clean it after every time I shot it so BH209 it is for next season. If you do happen to go with the Optima, youll definitely love it
