  1. This is my set up I made in an old horse shed when we had horses on my property. 2 winches and it makes the whole proses so easy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Wish I could get you to come coyote hunt where I deer hunt. what lights are you using?
  3. I shot the 180gr Barnes TTSX in my 30-06. It always puts them down when I do my part. I dont like eating lead nor leaving lead in a gutpile. When I walked back to check out the gutpile a few hours after I gutted the deer, there was a red tailed hawk on it eating. Wouldnt have been too good if it had lead pieces through out it
  4. I dont really have the luxery to do hang and age deer, but I have no problem eating fresh venison
  5. Sterling has a lot of bear and the catskills is packed with them
  6. Both for me actually. All my bow kills were from a stand this year, but my rifle kill was from the ground
  7. They have been doing it every eyar for the last few years. I take the whitestone and never have been stopped
  8. Id rather snort the dust from drywall sanding. I never want to see a piece of wallpaper again in my life lol
  9. Depends during the season. During bow season I usually just use my rangefinder to look at deer, but most of the time theyre close enough not to need it. Now during rifle season Ill use my eye and then use my scope if its needed
  10. Trust me its no where near wallpaper removal. Id rather do drywal sanding all day
  11. Dosny sound right, theyve just came out with a bunch of new scopes
  12. Definitely a good year by most standards and definitely by mine. Still a lot of season left
  13. I have a friend who's going to order one direct from the company for me and get it sent to his house because he gets a discount on CVA. I know Dicks carrys CVA optima so you can check it out there and then buy it where ever you like.
  14. Might work if hes a local cop, but NYC cops have a bad rap upstate for the most part. A lot of people might not like a city cop asking for permission to hunt. Im all for doing some waterfowl hunting on the Island though
  15. Theyre all pretty good for the money tbh. Im getting a CVA as well and im going to be getting the Nikon buckmaster II I believe.
  16. I hear theyre not bad. I say try it out with that scope, but if not go to amazon and pick up a nikon scope for around 120 bucks
  17. Im also in NYC and as most of the people on here can tell you, im very dedicated to hunting. If you have any questions I can definitely help you out in any way. Since you're in the bronx I would say its easier for you to hunt upstate than to hunt the Island. I can send you some good videos on how to butcher a deer. I do all my skinning and quartering out in the woods so I dont have to take the rib cage and back bone with me back to the city. I cant help you with butchers since Ive never actually brought a deer to a butcher before. If you have any questions just send me a pm
  18. Just shot 2 deer. 7 more still in the group and feeding in the orchard like nothing happened Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Ill be waiting for a nice buck (bigger than the one I got during archery hopefully) and ill hopefully be filling some doe tags
  20. Did my first deer drive last year during the long island shotgun season. We killed 7 deer the first day (3 myself) and we should have had atleast 4 or 5 more. I love a good deer drive
