I currently have a 12 guage for my bird hunting. With hevi shot and tss, a 20 guage really is all you need for turkey. Hell even a .410 will do the job out to 40 with tss. Maybe in a few years ill buy a 20 guage for turkey hunting, but for now ill turn my current 12 into a dedicated turkey gun once I get a semi auto shotgun for duck hunting

Because this is a higly infectous virus. Its not like the "normal flu" like everyone is trying to make it sound. No one said this is good for the economy, but whats worse for the econmy is thousands upon thousands dying from a virus with the possibility for it being much worse. Mutation is a very REAL threat. It can mutate at literally any time, which viruses are known for doing all the time. Like I said, this is exactly what happened with the spanish flu. It kept mutating and killed millions of people. The more people infected means the higher chance of mutation. Its like the trainers of those big cats in cuircuses. Theres a chance they'll get bit and they have to plan for what they "might do." Maybe you dont have friends and family that are currently infected with covid who arent likely to make it, but I do and its a slap in the face to those people. Also a slap in the face to my family and father who are working harder than ever as people in the medical field. Its very obvious you're getting your info from people who arent qualified with the necissary medical background for this. If pepole who have gone through years and years of intensive study of medicine are saying stay at home...maybe we should listen to those people. This is bad for the economy, but there are precations you have to take. An ounce of prevention is worth pounds of solutions. Based on the reaction to the mandatory mask rule, do you really think everyone is going to wear one? The mask doesnt stop you from getting it in most cases...just stops you from passing it.

You know what else is going on across the country right now...a pandemic. A pandemic that can mutate at any time and start killing people in peak health. Its happened before with the spanish flu and can happen at any time. I dont think people are grasping the severity of this. Not the biggest fan of cuomo my self, but he sure has been doing the best job of fighting this than anyone else including the president

You are correct with everything you said, but the reservations only start November 1st when small game starts. There should be a signs that mark the boudry, but they arent always good so you have to be vigilant. Best tip I can give is to get in the thick stuff. I hunt the island a decent amount (2 years ago my friend and I both shot giant bucks off public land 1 day apart) and there is some really good hunting. Im sure you know about the bonus doe tags that you can get. Ill be hunting the island more this year, but way out east in the hamptons and southhampton my only suggestion is to get out there and start scouting. Everything is hunted on the island, but if you do your work you can find the areas that not many people hunt. Parking can be an issue sometimes, but itll force you to hunt different areas sometimes

Truglo red dot for me. I dont think its a waste of time to be honest, Id rather have a red dot or scope for my turkey gun than nothing. If you dont mind me asking, but where are you going to send your gun? I thought FFL's and gun shops were all closed?

No reason it should be cancelled. Its even more solitary than fishing is. I just hope NYC doesnt get placed into even more restrictions that force me to stay home from going into the woods
