  1. Throw it on the 4 wheeler and head to the garage.
  2. Just remember..small game will open also. These areas get hunted pretty hard.
  3. I would say a nice blonde.... The animal does look cat like. Almost think I see whiskers.
  4. Bob's do not have much of a tail...but this looks like a bobcat.
  5. ANY bodygripping trap larger than 5 1/2" set on land with the use of bait must adhere to these regulations. See below which was taken from the DEC website....... Body-gripping traps set on land shall not be within 100 feet of a public trail except on Wildlife Management Areas. Body-gripping traps set on land without the use of bait must be no greater than 6 inches and may only be set such that no part of the body-gripping surface is more than 8 inches above the ground. Body-gripping traps 5 1/2 to 7 1/2 inches set with the use of bait, lure, or other attractants may only be used as follows:
  6. Make sure you read the rules. Thjere are restrictions for connibears on land.
  7. There are more coon hunters than you think around. Little tough to get with out trapping or treeing with a dog. On occasion you could walk thru the woods and make some noise then come back thru and shine trees with a low light or a red lens.
  8. My advise is not to go cheap when it comes to traps. I use 1.75 and #2 for coon, fisher, fox and coyotes. I use Bridgers, Bmi's and MB'S. For rats i do use some dukes and older victors band blake and lambs. I mainly use Night Owl lures. Jim Geffert is a real nice guy and willing to help with any questions. Wax can be picked up cheap and sumac can be used for dye.

  12. They are trying to collect enough data to open up trapping seasons in some portions of southern zone.
