nice! i have yet to see one of them in the woods...

it is, i actually used a doe tag on a yearling with the bow 2 seasons ago. a friend told me the meat was really tender, so i tried it. you can cut it with a spoon. im not bragging but it sure is tastey..

nice and close! used to have some pics of bucks that walked right under my stand from last year, the pics were taken almost though the holes in the stand lol.

its true... my own honest opinion would be is i dont think a deer would smell that smell that drives him crazy and not act on it due to the time of year, especially when that sacred time is right around the corner and ready to pop. id say now is the time to try and experiment with it! next time you have a smaller buck come in experiment on him and see what he does, i doubt when he smells he will think OMG to early and run away. i think you might just be shocked to see that deer curl them lips and stick his nose in the air and commit to the search

very neat deer bushnell. i would love to take a piebald that has a decent amount of white in the face for a mount. would be neat...

im hoping this weekend is a good one! i hope my trail cam has been taking some pics of some bucks.

never saw them in the water quite like that but usually around it. but yeah i guess like that lol. did you take that pic?

hows everyone seeing them? any good movement the past few days?

i never hesitate to use some estrus early in the season. ive had some great encounters with it in regards to the time of year. ive had some nice bucks come in to me spraying some scent every so often, most down wind... they way i look at it is even if a guy was not in the mood to have s*x and saw a hot girl or smelled some nice perfume walk by, you would still look! maybe not the best comparison lol but you get the idea... i dont go crazy with the scents but i do experiment to see what works and usually have good results..

typically the bows kills are cleaner or at least from my own personal experiences... sometimes with the gun you can get alot of bone fragment on the meat or alot more hair, not all the time tho. i enjoy taking deer with the bow. i would agree, deer hit in the boiler makes are cleaner. i mean its not like processing a deer taken with the gun is a whole lot harder to clean or takes longer but i have noticed things to be neater inside.
