  1. yeah john hope those bands are extra support and not whats holding that stand to the tree?? looks really nice tho. wheres the TV? lol
  2. those swivel bow holders are all i use, i love them... every stand i hunt has one. you can actually leave your bow on the hook and guge the bow with a walking deer and take the bow off fast when ready to shoot so your not holding 100% of the bow weight for a long period of time.
  3. they also sell the one peice fletched that have a shrink tube with a sort of glue inside the tube that when you put it on the arrow and place in hot water it shrinks and bond to the arrow. they actually look neat. my dad has em... not sure how they work
  4. looks like hes living right around your stand and frequents that area often...
  5. i dont get why this thread took a wrong turn? most of the guys on here who speek of scoring a buck and are curious to see what he would go gnerally do have mature deer on there land and like to concentrate on taking out mature bucks. those who dont have big deer and have the occasional decent buck pop up on trail cam would prob be curious to see how big he is as well. just becasue you are not interested in the size of antlers on a paticular deer doesnt mean it should be the way. Its all just another way for us to BS and comment on something. i think some people are getting out of control with the "why are hunters so greedy with size comments". its getting crazy, i know for a fact "MOST" of us who sit our ass's off all day would like to remain positive and think that big boy can come spurting through in a hurry. its what keeps you positive and excited. i know you cant eat the antlers but its a good feeling knowing that one can help change there hunting grounds and produce bigger deer in the future rather then consitantly killing small deer year after year. i know its meat in the freezer but a true hunter knows and lives for the experience and thrill of the hunt and its not always about killing a deer. its about the time we spend in the timber with freinds and family and ourselves... who cares about why some are so obbsessed with size of racks, ill tell you one thing. i spend alot of time in the woods and do alot of pre season stuff in hope of putting myself on a decent size buck. my lively hood does not souly rely on deer meat so spending the time and money i do and end my season with a spike would not make me happy. id rather shoot a doe. ill say it again, to each is own...
  6. looks like a good spot, nice bucks
  7. im really a fan of the roconyx camera... i cant wait to get one of these and try them. there trigger speed is unreal
  8. cool vid! thanks for the share. the buck has some weight... nice looking
  9. nice pics, the web is just a action of the flash from the cam glaring off the deers eye...
  10. cant wait either! i have to hang 2 stands which im doing alittle later then id like but its ok... other then that had the trail cams going for 2 months and also been doing my own recon so i know whats running around. i am amped! bow is shooting great as well, things seem to be pretty lined up going into this season, come Oct 1st, its on!
  11. thats like hitting the lottery right there! lol goodluck!
  12. a buddy of mine has 150 acres we have been hunting for over 20 years now and we have guys from an adjacent property where they sometimes post up right on the line which is funny because they face in a matter where they look north and have there land on the east and ours on the west, both feilds and they sit a small bruschy draw. i mean i would assume they would take a shot if a deer steps out from our feild but then they would deel with us if and when that occurs...
  13. 15 - 25 yards, i love to get em close for the chips... but i will take a clean shot out to 40 yards...
  14. i use them and there great! i use the 2 blade, 3 blade is not legal in NY... you do not have to worry about lining the broad head up with your fletches, if by lining them up you mean the lines of the blade with the Fletch then no... spin them on and your good to go and experience the most unbelievable entry and exit wounds youll ever see... i sound like a pitchman, i swear i dont get a kick back from rage lol
  15. yeah that dude is prob close to 140... he deff has 10" G2s and 6" brows with a nice spread. hes pushing 140. it just would be better to see a diff angle to give a better judgement like a nice side shot and a head on with his head higher up. but hes deff in the mid to high 130s if not 140.
  16. ive been watching a buck for months now. watched him blow into what he is now. Hes a main frame 8 with a split G3 on his left side and will no doubt go 160 - 165". i see him almost everytime i go out. So i will see if i can get the drop on him come Oct 1st! he gets me so amped for the season knowing he is there. i did get eyes on another deer slightly bigger then him with more points but was unable to see how many scorable points he had at the time. The buck i am after has 14" plus G2s and 10" plus G3s. cant wait!
