  1. i took a doe at about 18 yards, clean pass through arrow hit the ground behind her b4 she even flinched. she jumped trotted a few steps, flickered her tail twice and went to take another step and fell over right there. this all happend in like 10 seconds, VERY fast
  2. wow crazy... it might not survive the cold winters we have here in NY. however it does dip down into the high 30s in Florida my grandparents told me and they survive there. georga is cold and also loaded with gators.. life finds away... however i do not thing that little gator would make it
  3. nice shot, its a rarity that they shake a shot off like that and remain calm. had it happen to me a few times and then they just pile up. dropping down insight is great! hes a bog old boy too
  4. wow thats right near where i hunt... my dad has seen bear tracks up there in the snow b4. yeah, id think black bear are making a good population for themselves and its prob safe to say they can be found in just about every county in NY....
  5. hard work always pays off... i know how it is to clear logging roads, making food plots, hanging trail cams and so on. it adds to part of the thrill when you do harvest a nice buck and reflect on what you and your family did during the pore season to ensure the particular animal you harvest. Its about the camaraderie spent in your pre season and hunting season with friends and family and it makes it that much better knowing you did what you could to make that spot something special. good job, i really hope it pays off for you guys!
  6. thats not a bad drive tho at all. your talking maybe an hour 1 way? it does suck loosing a hunting spot tho.
  7. thats crazy... i mean really what did they think was going to happen?? you seriously have to love hunting activists. they just plain and simple DO NOT understand.
  8. was he in yours?? atleast you know the stand can hold the weight lol and on that note i would just about shat myself if i saw that on my way to my stand!
  9. very weird concept and a cheasy design? lol does it actually work???
  10. WOW thats awesome your dad would do that for you! congrats! that is pretty cool
  11. yeah beleive it or not, he wasnt doing anything crazy. he was taking a night cruise with his fiance and enjoying the night. he does not speed with is fiance on the bike. he was cut off by and elder couple who should not have even been on the road at that time. 81 is a little to old to be behind the wheel at night. there should be some soort of test the eldery take each year after they turn a certain age and also have a time cut off of say 9pm... the elder man simply mis judged his dicision of cutting accross 2 lanes coming from a block off the main road and my freind t boned his car. sad part is my freind ricky was supposed to come down to florida and meet us down there 5 days after he passed... him and his fiance were supposed to stay with us and vacation the last 4 days of the trip together...
  12. thats pretty cool. looks like it gets the job done... pretty neat tool forsure
  13. sweet! where di you get that thing? and howmuch?
  14. thats funny. i think my dad is hard of hearing some times.... cant hear me most of the time but can har a deer coming in from far out LOL... weird... should get him a set for conversation purposes haha. or its just selective hearing
  15. WOW that is actually quite strange LOL. if i didnt see the pic i would never beleive...
  16. They do a heck of a job !!! i have not one complaint about the rage BH's. they exceeded my expectations. im going on my 4th hunting season i beleive... most people i see here are all about the fixed BH's. ive used fixed for a long time. but night and day comparison to the rage 2 blades lol
  17. no he was from centereach long island. passed in a bike accident. an 80 yearold man who should clearly not be driving at 11:00pm cut my friend ricky off while ricky was riding on his bike...
  18. i have been trying to find a vid clip of that. he did not shoot the antlers directly. He did indeed drop that buck on one shot however it was either due to recoil of the shot that made the antker come off or it was like a qautering to shot that went through and cought the antler on the way out. in any event he did harvest that animal and i do think it was luck of the draw...
  19. i was going to question the pic being real but it looks like WNY answered that. WOW thats crazy... the cycle of life huh. Nice buck too! shame he had to go that way. cool pics, thanks for sharing!
