Wow, I havnt had a shooter deer on trail cam since 10-4 and only saw one shooter buck last week or October. I have the same 7 doe bedding up near by and not one big boy is interested... I keep getting the same 4 point and 7 point on cam, the 7 I passed 3 times already. Saw 2 doe and 2 yearling today. It was very cold and no winds this morning. Now winds are blowing pretty good. Seems like wind everyday

Since I live on the island I only go up for opening on sat and hunt sat, sun, mon, tues, and come home weds and I'm done. Next year will be fun since I'm moving up there in a few weeks, inwhich will give me more time in the woods

great experience, sometimes these hunts that end like that are amongst the best. you will prob enter that woods years to come and when you hit that particular spot you will always replay that moment in time. thats what it all about

100% that would be the right thing to do unless the hunter was doing something illegal to begin with, like baiting and didnt want to risk having an officer come down.

sad... the hunter may have walked up on that deer and saw it was illegal and kept walking. what a waste... i dont hunt in an AR zone but what if this happens accidentally, can DEC be notified from said hunter and if it was a mistake the hunter can tag it or something?? not like the hunter should have seen it didn't meat code because he should have...

ive had back straps from a deer same day it was shot and boy was it tender and tasty!

if it did what i think it did and how you said and it GOT THE PENETRATION, id say that deer piled up not extremely far from that shot. if the on side leg was back and the off side just fwd like in mid step id say you buried him if it got into him. i just hope it wasnt to low... what time was the shot and how far did you look after the shot? i would have gave him time and slipped back in a few hours later just to be on he safe side. if the shot hit its mark that deer didnt go to far so i would sweep the area. i hope you find him! hes a stud!

it looks like it got into her pretty good... you can clearly see the white hair and some good meat on there. if she makes it she will be hurting pretty good for awhile. hope she comes in another day and gives you a chance to finish the job.

thats great, so you set the cam up there to see what was bedding up there? did you get anything else on that bed or the one buck? and did he bed there often?
