    Beer

Seems like Biz is vacationing in Texas now ....
  3. I get it and agree there seems to be an over kill among some with their gear . However I also know that it seems hunters as a whole have always used the most advanced gear avalible at the time . Did they not ? I see today's tree stands as the biggest aid in bow hunting .
  4. Like the Germans from Eddie Rickenbacker . I went shed hunting on my buddy's land, and sure enough I found one , well an old shed missing it's door, I peeked in and this bird took off from a raised platform flying a couple feet over my head spraying pee the whole way ! That got the pulse up a bit . Must have a nest in there as it just circled overhead, as I walked off . Not a bird guy , any guesses ?
  5. Be well worth it, you think $100 will cover getting the interior cleaned the next day ? I always have 5 crisp ones on me , for " smoothing things over" anyways .
  6. That's an easy one, YES. And thanks .
  7. Well I can't miss this , even though I'm working Sat. at 7:00 am and its 80 miles away..... Looks like I'll have to stick to the proverbial, two beers . My youngest lives on West Ferry st . In Buffalo , how far from the bar would that be ?
  8. Sorry for your loss. Perhaps you could hunt with his gun or knife in your pocket , that's something I would do .
  9. Ya at every show there's guys selling dental picks of all manor . I think guys use them to reach hard to get each areas of gun parts to get the gunk out . I'm not sure but they're always there . Mrs 302 and I just finished our Bill Grays fish fries , and are now waiting for Jeapordy to start , we just weren't up to a big night out , sorry . also at the Atlantic get their Sea food fra diavolo, it's like $14 and I think it's very good for a family restaurant .
  10. I had gone every year in the past, never bought much, just something to do . I would pick up things like zombie targets and other odds and ends mostly . Now that it's back at the Dome it seems , from their site the it's well attended again . In the past Phil of Phil's Fine Cutlery in NJ would have a table , it was nice to see and handle some nice knives . ive picked up some knives at good prices , including from Phil, but mostly from non knife folks who had one or two to sell amount their junk . I have a neighbor who makes a very good living selling, bags, para cord, bore lights ,dental picks , T shirts and other assorted junk at gun, hunting , and biker shows across the North East .
  11. Well it's proportionality to the lap is correct .... ok im ducking now.
  12. We can split a fish fry , but you gotta order water to drink . 4:30 at the Atlantic .
  13. Wife is older.... we're at Dr.s ,Now follow up on hip replacement . Know any blue plate specials near Linden Oaks ? The liquor store by Hedgedrons does give me senior discount on Tuesday's though . In reality I can't remember which day it is , so it a moot point .
  14. And why do bikes get a special, lane? What the heck is up with "ladies night" !? Why in the world should old people get reduced meal, prices , wait that ones ok . Carry on .

    Beer

Four knots Lock 32 extra pale ale . caught a fire just before shift change, cut loose after it was knocked down. Sitting on Park Ave. with a beer an hour later , not bad !
  16. No home phone , the cell gets a few . I answer unknown because I get calls from workers offering to swap OT shifts . One call I get is from some service that forwards calls from prisons . I thought it was a scam but research shows it's not , pretty sure I don't no anyone in prison at this time .
  17. I have one experience with hunting BLM land. It was in Montana and a friend and I were hunting on it, when a rancher and two of his men rode up and basically tossed us off. Now my hunting partner was from out west and an attorney knowledgeable about land and environmental issues,( a granola crunching , Obama loving , commie lib. To,be truthful ) he presented our case as to how this was OUR land as U.S. citizens , the rancher would have none of that. We stopped at a nearby ranger station of some sort and went in to ask. They asked " did he shoot at you ?" , we said "no", " then consider yourselves lucky !" Was their answer . In theory BLM is everyone's , practice is another thing .
  18. If you ski you need a spotter , here's mine . She doesn't talk much and needs help winding in the rope. She's fooled a few Sheriffs , except my buddy who knows and just waves and passes by .

    Beer

Beer of the month club arrived today , got two bottles chilling . edit: while Scotch Ale is often my go to beer, this was very watery . Almost like a light beer .
  20. I hunt private well posted land. Turkey season is when I've the most trespasser issues . Guys see the birds in the fields or hear them and try to sneak up on them . I was thinking today how much you'd have to pay me to hide behind a fan in the woods and call . I'd say week end daylight to noon, 50k if I can wear shooting glasses and have an orange flag with me .
  21. Not sure if you're a new boater or not, i trailer my boat here's what o do before I leave each time. Remove canvas and Load it in driveway , coolers, bags and so on . Put plug in ( which I leave with keys on seat) make sure it starts . Your flares are good for 3 years , I've been checked a couple times with out of date ones , always been a warning .
  22. All three hunters were hiding behind persevered turkey fans . So the two, shot certinly had to,be laying close to each other if they shared one fan , then its easy to see how both took pellets to the head . I goggle it for you .... http://www.kansas.com/sports/outdoors/article145929249.html
  23. That explains why the interior smells like Polo .
  24. Vitreo , easy on easy off , lasts well . Even works on 14 Y/O Buicks !
  25. I'm not retired , yet I can hunt about 23 days a month without taking time off . Not everyone works a day job , 5 days a week , a ton of my neighbors work from home and set their own hours . My hunting partner owns his own company which employs about 100 folks , he leaves work at 2:30 and hunts every afternoon . He grew up hunting , trapping and fishing for food. For a number of years they lived in a basement . By that I mean that's all that was built,a basement with a floor over it. Today he says , " if I gotta hunt for food, I got bigger problems , then the size of my deer ."
