  1. As someone with 45 ash trees In a suburban yard, I've paid attention to the EAB, the beetle traps are just to see if the EAB is in the area . Agree stopping ticks seems like an unreachable task, delevopling effective meds.seems like the way to go, but with so,few getting Lymn the $ is not there make it worth while . And yes I know a couple people and a few dogs with it .
  2. Well Mrs 302 just got her second hip replaced ..... heres my first car, '69 Custom S Tempest. This pic is off the net, mine was identical though .
  3. Paid 6k for this 5 years ago, one of the more expensive cars I've owned..... Want to pick up gmilfs at Aldi's or Burlington coat factory ( a true hidden gem of older hard up women ) this is the ride for you !! zero to 30 in 2 minutes with the right blinker on.....
  4. In the EMS world any fall from a height equal to the height of your body , is considered a greater risk. A six foot person on a ten foot stand means there head is 16 or so off the ground . A few years back guy about three houses from me is on a ladder painting , he's maybe four foot off the ground, neighbor walks by says hello to him , he turns to look and falls. Today he has half a right foot from that fall . Now should one wear a harness when painting their house ? Well I don't know of a system for that, I do for tree stands though. Although I now pay people to clean my gutters and such, just not worth it to me anymore . If I fall off a ladder or roof at work, at least it was for a greater cause and I'll be covered money wise if I fall in the woods I'll be out of a job ..... My stands are all around 15 feet, 30 years of killing them with a bow I don't recall any deer busting me while I drew. Sure I've been busted many times, just sitting there or while at full draw . I draw on almost all deer that pass by for practice btw. That way instead of drawing on the one or two you'll kill each year one can draw on dozens of them .
  5. Muddy . My hang ons all have a life line to the ground with Prusik, ladders I climb up and tie in to a strap that's around the tree. Chinese made ladders, ice, small platforms and old bones, climbing up early in the morning when tired why wouldn't I tie in ?
  6. My day track happend to end on a Friday, so we went to the Half Pint on Park ave for a couple beers . Came home and had the wifes leftovers from when she went out to,lunch with a friend , she had a fish sandwich and Mac salad. Not a fan but hot sauce and some beer a made it ok .

    REWARD

Just up the street from me it seems. It appears that the poster just became a victim last season , perhaps from taking to others he learned it's been on going . $100 reward ,5 guys who are victims that's a whole $20 per man , make it $500 or a grand and you might get some info . Id be running cameras and paying neighbors for " tips" and calls when trucks are parked nearby .
  8. Hunting naked with a spear is a dream of mine , that's pure hunting ! I have no doubt I could kill one with a spear as many pass by at 5 yards or so .
  9. My Dr. Had me come right in and took a blood sample and started me on meds that day not waiting for he test results to come, back .
  10. Same here Fletch, our dog is positive for it also. When you have dogs and or cats that go outside , they can very well bring them inside . I pulled one off from my armpit after a shower , called Dr. And they had me come right in and started meds that day .
  11. I move some stands late winter, although I still have two to move, which will be done idk late summer. I throw up a couple cameras whenever maybe next month or so . 30 years on same spot, so I don't really " scout" I go off what I see during the seasons.
  12. The Mrs's Mac salad, avacodo , sweet onions, tomatoes and lots of garlic salad , and a chunk of my bow buck.
  13. ThE gUys NAMe iS , Marcus Lemomis the TV show is called , The Profit. The operative words here being " tv show ."
  14. May is the month with the most road kills outside of Fall . This topic comes up,here every May .

    Beer

Ok they suckered me in with the Star Trek label I admit it . Big fan of the orignal show, even have Scotties autograph , had him sign it , " been me up Larry."
  16. Here's a clipping of when my Dads brother and two young Uncles were killed in WWII . Those are my Dads dog tags , they sent him home after all that. He always took us camping at Letchworth on Memorial Day weekend .
  17. I like many types of music and bands, speed and death metal , old school country , to The Supremes but the Allman Brothers hold a special place ! So even though most Sunday's at my house are " Johhny Cash " Sunday's , starting with "Sunday Morning Coming Down".... Today it's nothing but ABB ! I may even throw in Boz Scaggs/ Duana Allman's Loan Me a Dime . Now the memories are flowing , in 1,979 I drove my '69 Custom S Tempest to Fla. for spring break listening to little more then the double live LP, " Wipe the Windows , Check the Oil, Dollar Gas "
  18. I used to get a shower of sparks off the center stand when I cornered hard, I wore it so thin it broke off ! Then on really really hard cornering I could scrape the down tube of the pipes, but that can lever the bike off the wheels , which is not good. They shake like a paint shaker , leak a little oil and go through generator brushes, but otherwise bomb proof bikes .
  19. Ok Fletch that hurt ! Really wanted meat tonight , but ended up at a place that is pasta and sea food, it was nice and all , just not what I craved . Enjoy!
  20. Circa 1,983 ? My XS 650 twin, put about 50k on that bike . Id like to,get another and make it a bobber , although my shirt will stay on .....
  21. First we went to Rochester Rib Fest, no,handy cap parking so wife hobbled with her cane through a muddy field, L-O-N-G lines for food, crap beer and a ton of trash balls present. Left and went to Mr Domanics , hour plus wait, ended up at Basils , chicken , artichoke and shrimp French .
  22. They got to start somewhere but 10% off is a joke . I belong to a site that sets up discounts for first responders / military , I typically get 10 to 25 % off plus free shipping and cash back, some of the outdoor companies , Cabela's , Under Amour, Columbia , Ray Ban,Carhartt , Mid Way,and 25% off my favorite shoes,Allen Edmonds , and at around $300 average pair that's $75 . I found an Xbow on there that sold for 1/3 less then anywhere online if you didn't have the ID code . I did not buy it but thought about it .
