  1. Great looking bow ! I haven't shot since I killed my buck last Nov. and haven't benched with a bar in many years Hell it hurts to grab my wallet ( insert jokes on being cheap, here ).
  2. Well you guys are a few minutes from my hunting spot ..... Go west on 5/20 a bit . We'll be at the BIL Tuesday as well, enjoy the concert fellas . larry I enjoy concerts , hate crowds anywhere though .
  3. To late , but my wife's brother lives on the lake right by cmac, could have got you free and easy parking . Last time I was there a couple of guys fromthe job were working the beer stand , free beer all night !
  4. So,last night there were 5 ODs that Im aware of, one fatal. I caught a day overtime today and at 08:30 we went for another, she was dead. This in the same building as the fatal the night before . As mentioned earlier people, are RX pain pills get hooked on them , but when the RX runs out the pills are $50 each on the street, and herioin is cheaper. I know doesn't make sense to me either but that's what they turn to. Mrs. 302 was given 50 OxyContin or something after her hip replacement .. She took maybe a few in the beginning . I have been RX'd Vicodin before and to be honest I liked them, only took a few when needed , but I can see how some get hooked on them . Yea some are pissed when we narcan them and cancell their high, many don't want to even go to the hospital even when you tell they they were basically dead, with some one doing CPR when we rolled up . Fortunately my guys are all 6 footers plus and there are often 2-4 cops there as well , so they often decide to cooperate . One time both parents shot up one OD'd they had little kids running around the apartment , the cops were pissed one of my guys was laying into, them pretty good and stared kicking things... I had to send him outside .
  5. It's getting pretty crazy, tonight there have been 3 that I heard come in, last week at shift change my company went for a guy who rear ended a Help Truck on the side of an expressway, the guy was shooting up while driving on an expressway ! My relief was in so,I did not go, but I've been to a few accidents where the driver had a tourniquet on his arm and a needle on his lap .... They're driving while shooting up ! It used to be only in drug houses and empty lots in the ghetto , now sadly it's college kids and suburn businessmen as well, not that anyone OD ing is good, but it's so widespeard today. I don't judge I treat and truly hope they can kick,it . This morning onthe way home I. Stopped for an oil, change and to get the Buick inspected , I'm in the waiting room and a worker comes in , " would you mind coming outside there's a woman who fainted in her car in line? ( I was in uniform )" So I hop in the passenger seat. She has snoring respirations, weak pulse, fixed pinpoint pupils, sweaty , unresponsive to verbal and painful stimulus, a blueish color, all classic signs of an OD. I not not find any needles or drugs although she could have used prior. I can't say with 100% certainty but it walked and talked like a duck. Ambulance and PD arrived quickly I filled them in and went back inside so I don't know if she responded to Narcan . Oh and as I wrote this another OD call came in, that's four so,far tonight and two shootings one I believe was fatal, one just came in for a person shot In the neck and another was beat to an inch of his life with what was possibly a bat, and my girls never understood why I wouldn't want them to,do,this job . We now carry about 8 doses of Narcan on the rig, some just for use on Fire and Poilce personal as some of the stuff being used to cut it, like Fentanyl can be absorbed through the skin and accidently touching it can cause an OD to responders , I had gloves on me today . I guess I'm just venting as I sure don't know what the answer is .
  6. Right I collect watches , but few outside of watch guys ever notice my Rolex let alone my Hamiltons or my Seiko I had a guy in Hong Kong customize , but watch Guys can spot the Seiko even though the name is removed and the face, bezel and hands are changed . Nobody outside the hobby ( whatever hobby that may be ) knows or gives a crap about our hobbies. Garmpy I'll take the lump of gold, to ,many die who come into possession of large diamonds . Back on track, I try to up my game and go for bucks of a certin size, I've killed tons of small bucks and frankly there is no challenge there for me . If I just wanted meat I could work a side job during the hours I spend on hunting and make enough to buy a side of beef, just in driving time to the land alone .
  7. My all time favorite player, he went on to pitch for th Cards'
  8. The real question is just what am I showing off ?
  9. What kind of whackadoodle collects rocks?
  10. Big St. Louis fan since '67. Head to Pittsburg in July for a couple games, for Sunday's game we're 5 rows back right behind the dugout , keep a eye out on TV fo my handsome face ! After that game got reservations at Meat and Potatoes, for their 45 oz rib eye ( for two ). Whats nice about baseball is both teams fans can sit togather in peace, stand up and sing , "Take me out to the ball game", little kids can run around its a great family time .
  11. Biggest rack in women , biggest truck , biggest engine , biggest biceps , biggest house , hardly think quest for biggest deer rack is in anyway unique. 'Merica ! Stubby , I gotta disagree about everyone knowing about big bucks killed. Few outside of hunting even know that there is a scoring system, most I know think my 10pt must be bigger then your 8pt . I still run into people who ask if I eat it ? 3 % of New Yorkers hunt , most of the remaining 97% could'nt tell what P&Y or B&C was or care in the least .
  12. My plan is working then .... Next year try hanging dirty socks all around your stand .
  13. That's to bad , I've had nothing but great luck with Danners for idk 25 years now . It is pricey to get the American made ones now, but even my over seas ones have lasted . Few years back I bought two pair by way of their " friends and family" sale. The order code got "out" and spread around the Internet , It was supposed to be for employees and family members only. Their site crashed when the code spread, and guess what? I phoned in my order and even though I was not " friends and family " they honored it . Rage? I was just trying to stir the pot, I'm a little disappointed usually guys swallow the hook right away ! I did try them one year, killed a buck but penetration and then blood trail was very bad. This may have been due to a high extreme rear quartering shot and light arrows though . went back to cut on contacts and last year a 75 yard stroll to my dead buck . i got a couple packs of Rage heads if anyone wants them , just don't ask me to bring my Beagle out to find your deer .....
  14. Nobody said it's a challenge , a nice vacation where they put you up in great rooms, cook you fantastic meals and serve you fancy cocktails . A nice side note is you kill a gaint buck , which they gut and process to boot . Cost me 10k to sit on a beach for a week and no buck !!!

  17. Good luck fellas. My boat is still buried deep inside my buddy's factory , with the high water levels can't even launch, then the Bay is idol speed only . May pull it out to clean it and get it running, maybe hit Canandaigua a few times during the week .
  18. Actually when mine went to FLA for 3 weeks last winter , my house was cleaner and better organized then when she's home . I do most of the house cleaning anyway , just was easier without having her mess . I drink less when she's gone too !
  19. Got married Nov 4th 1988 , started bow hunting 1989..... each Oct wife says " see you around Christmas ."

well well well look what is selling in Webster now .
  21. Happy B day my friend . you're reaching the point where the candles cost more then the cake .....
  22. Both our daughters rent apartments where electric is included in the rent, if they run a window AC each pays an additional $25 per month. I can't see where any real savings is in turning one off a few hours a day . Not a smart business move . But for $100 a night I wouldn't expect much either .
  23. I like to have swim trunks that stand out.... although I'm not sure drawing attention to my " Dad bod" is a good thing .
