Nys you can only buy the small " key chain" size pepper sprays. These have limited reach and numbers of "sprays" along with their size small making handing and use harder. Bear spray comes in really large cans might be hard to carry on a bike. You can get a dog spray named Halt, it's what the Postal Carriers use, it's NY legal it's just a weaker pepper spray I believe . I prefer a "half can" size, I have them shipped to an out of state address then re shipped . Fox brand and Sabre Red seem to be the top two brands often recommended . Sabre Red has a Gel formula that has increased reach , sprays into the wind like no,other and sticks to the skin. The only thing I want right now that I don't own is a 9mm carbine that would take Glock mags. On the Penn. boarder are shops selling , stun guns, pepper spray and fireworks, if they'd just add standard capacity mags it would be one stop shopping Stun guns require holding against your attacker for 3-5 seconds , let's call it 4. That's a longtime during a fight, especially for a woman against a man , and if he's armed in anyway it's even harder to avoid his weapon. Yes I've been shocked by stun guns, we get bored at work.....

My daughter lives here in Rochester her boyfriend is in med school in NYC, she goes from a treestand here one day to a Broadway play the next, although seeking out the better pastry shops is more her thing in NYC. That's a nice life. I'm a woods guy, but I'm happy to say I've been to Peter Lugars, McSorleys,Carmine's ,top of the Empire State Building , Ground Zero, Ten House, cruised on FDNY's fire boat, and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge ( passed on the chance to buy it ) and many other places in NYC. It's a great place to take a family around Christmas as well . Oh and I slept on a couch in Park Slope that Levon Helms crashed on when he was in town. No not at the same time......

Same thing when I hunt with my buddies in the river bottoms of Montana , sheds all over the place .

Well you'll improve your odds greatly by coming to,an area like 8H........ I'm no expert but find a few each year on my limited shed hunts . I walk the trails the deer walk, mostly in thick brush. You can drive yourself crazy by staring at the ground I just scan ahead and side to side as I move, most I find walking trails are right on them. When the snow is all gone I will glass green fields that I know they feed in during the winter. Although there will be times you'll run a couple hundred yards into the field to find its piece of a corn stalk ..... Some say check where they " jump" either over a fence or creek at known crossing points. It appears I have no,jumping deer ..... Bedding areas are good . You're looking for where they spend the most time, bedding eating , walking . My problem is our bedding areas are to thick to walk , I'd have to,crawl over one .

I only shoot management bucks , any buck that I can manage to shoot !

It's better to keep him inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent passing in .

Got a few left from my youth , have way more Matchbox though . Problem is boys tend to be hard on toys and these sure show that .

After we remodeled the kitchen , I had quite a pile at the road for pick up. I of course helped them and under the last cabinet was a 12 pack for them . After that I think I could have left dead bodies at the road and they would have taken them !!!

I hope they got a new home, but my shelves were collapsing .... Paula, I know there was a Wonder Woman cover ( not Linda Carter) it was an air brushed Costume and caused I bit of controversy I think .

Couple years back I got rid of most of my 30 year collection ( saved the Dec,Jan and Pam Anderson issues) filled the recycle bin a few times !

Perhaps it was the forbidden fruit back in my youth that still holds an attraction . Finding an issue or two hidden in your old mans work room , the disappointment in finding an issue that was missing the centerfold . I truly enjoyed the jokes and comics as well as finding the hidden Bunny head on the cover . The mystery of what the small stars meant on the corner of the cover . The Galla Christmas issue and January issue that had the recap of the previous years centerfold , Playmate of the year ! Getting a Playmate to sign an issue at a car show. A joy you, kids and your black boxes will never know .

I don't get when folks post that they' re done . I used to post a fair amount on The Rolex Forums , some great people there for sure, but I just did not have much in common with many there . I simply stopped posting and took it out of my favorites . I felt no need to tell them I was taking my watch and going home, but that's me .

And it' sucks. Ok they were going to a no nude format, fine but everything's gone. The cartoons, jokes all the familiar columns , the little black and white photos of " clothing " malfunctions , everything is gone. I thought there still would be layouts of sexy clothed woman like Maxium and the ones on Instagram nope, a few shots of so so woman , certinly not Playmates though . It used to be a "men's " magazine , sports cars , cigars , liquor , nice clothes, hot women , I'm not sure what it is now . 30 year subscriber , but I'm letting it run out now . This is worse than the new Coke ....

Thanks that's a good start. I did look online and read some reviews , just looking for personal experiences from folks here. I'll have to see which Hyatt she's at to see where a outs it is. Turkeyfeathers , she comes home the Friday before St. Patrick's day , which she is somewhat bummed about .

So our youngest is in Boston working for a month , staying at the downtown Hyatt I believe . So,the Mrs and figure we'll visit and crash at her place for a couple nights. I'd like to hit a good steakhouse while there, if you, have any recommendations I'm all ears ! Thanks .

Awesome job! Being home a lot during the day I get a few neighbors myself, and the young family next door I must have snowblowed 15 plus times last year. My blower is not working well this year, the neighbor got one this year , I came home today with about 2 foot on the ground and a clean driveway ! That's a nice feeling !!!

Since you're a fan here she is in Toronto last year , we had a pretty good view .....

Going to pass on the hot tub tonight .... Left for work early this morning , lots of snow on the roads but no,traffic so I sailed along at 35 mph till I hit the hill by Ellision park ( I avoid all expressways when it's snowing ). Got stuck near top of hill and had to back down about 1/4 mile then take Browncroft into the city. Spent very little time In The firehouse today, lots of runs, and we pushed out many stuck cars we came along. Most had one thing in common , worn tires .....

My Montana mullie tasted the same as our whitetails .

I posted it awhile back. Lars is not without his critics though. https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=rDbqz_07dW4

Prior to,lasiks I was 20/200 and wore glasses never had contacts . Never had an issue hunting , other than fogging and sometimes would shoot my bow without the glasses , no big deal if the deer was clear or not settle the pin ( which I could see ok) behind the shoulder and shoot. I mean many guys shoot instinctively right , don't over think it, put that glowing pin behind where the shoulder is and shoot.

One friend partly degloved another took, one to the ribs, it's nice how they curve up to catch you like a meat hook !

What if the bar served you a beer one minute past closing time .....

When I started using tree stands we used pieces of 2x4 with holes drilled through them and feed clothesline through and wrapped it around the tree ... Screw in steps were like science fiction when I found them ! Today I use strap on ladders and climbing sticks as I find them faster to place and I think safer to use. Now for screw ins look for the biggest ones and remove them or at least back them out at the end of the season . I know couple guys who have been injured I falls by screw ins , and the farm I hunt forbids them.

Hunting is an old mans game mostly , the folks on here are largely in their 40s, 50's , 60s and up anything that may catch the eye of younger folks or those not interested in taking the time to learn the bow or draw them in from, other areas is ok with me . Look at the gun world, many new young shooters are coming from gamers, World of Warcraft and Airsoft is bringing in new people to the gun, I say welcome !
