  1. No I pull up,the app on my phone and look to see where users have dropped pins for an accident , and where users are reporting back up/ slow traffic .It's common for someone in an accident to tell 911, "Im on 490 west at culver rd.". Well that does us little good without knowing if they are before or after the ramp , if past we can just go down the ramp, but prior to means we have get on an entrance ramp east of them to get to them. The app lets us see where accident pins were dropped before we commit to a route .
  2. Sam that's quite a haul, my hats off to you. If you average 7 miles per shed, that would mean you walked over 360 miles so far this year !
  3. I've never had an issue with my LCP or Tomcat in a pocket holster printing in fact I think they break up the outline, you said it yourself , makes it a square outline .... The LCP has been in my back pocket all day today looks like a wallet. Ants ,I have great respect for you, but I want the trigger covered in any gun in my pocket. Although I have carried a hammer less .38 in a coat pocket in years gone by without a holster . Bottom gun is my LCP about the size of a Bodyguard, top gun is my L frame .357. For years I carried the .357 OWB covered by an untucked shirt or sweatshirt , don't worry about your mouse gun being noticed .
  4. Perhaps. I used one for a short time. I run him with me on a bike as I can't run as fast as the dog . He learned if he dropped back the collar loosened and he could back out . That time after a long search involving 3 family members and a car, we found him trapped in the center of a solar cover of a guys built in pool .....
  5. Forgot this pic from a few weeks ago, my buddy said I could shoot its maker and claim self defense .
  6. And I thought about asking you if you wanted to come hunt our,3,000 acres in 8H for a week end. Law, that was me , I'm also a master of disguise .
  7. I'm actually a female (second from left) but did not want my PM box full of pm's from creepy downstaters .

    Activism

Most deer hunters just don't care that much. It's something to do, and if it went away they'd find something else . When I retire in a year and move either full or part time out of NYS, I may take up surf fishing and hog hunting or perhaps just play shuffleboard .... If I visit friends for a week and deer hunt ,well ok .
  9. I seldom put personal info in my profile on any forums .
  10. Bone in ribeye tonight , with the wife ,and both our girls went to dinner with us , one coming home from Buffalo. Could be someone turned 57 yesterday .....
  11. Fellow beagle owner here. Mine wears a standard web collar around the house and a no pull type harness when we walk. Now he used to get out of the harness a number of times when he was younger. In fact I had a piece of para cord that went from the leash to his neck collar as a safety for when he got out harness he would still be connected to the leash. I have no idea how'd he get out of the harness as i could not get him back in without taking it all the way off . He also broke out of his crate two times when I attempted to crate train him..... Beagle are escape artists , keep the collar tight and your sneakers , a treat , leash and flashlight close by !
  12. I need to put some similar signs up around here .....

    Beer

Gennesee Double Bock. Gotta give Genny a plug, they make good craft beers and their house beers stack up fine against others, they are also hiring people while others around are laying off . These are reasons why I support them . USA Today link. http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/personalfinance/2016/03/20/beer-man-genesee-double-bock/82037600/
  14. That's just awesome ! Our youngest (23) will be home for the week end , and I'd like to shoot with her as she got her pistol permit last Oct. but has'nt had as much trigger time as her older sister. She doesn't have a pistol yet, and with her work getting back to just 40 some hours now is the time. Good job with your's .
  15. Years back I shot a buck with my ML, it was on the edge of very thick brush. It was a hard track and I stated to lose light, to make moving through the brush easier I leaned the ML against a tree and continued on with my .357. Finally found the buck and got turned around, dragged it north instead of east..... Returning to find the gun turned out even harder, almost left without it......
  16. Came across this run awhile back.
  17. Thanks! It took some doing , watching their videos and looking at their site , but after finnally finding the instruction manual i was able to find the answers to my question. That is can you climb up,and down connected to the system, which you can , maybe. Idk Yhe videos are not the best, it seems that with a climber it would work fine as you wrap the tree with the webbing and slide it up as you climb , same as I do now but with a rope. But how would you slide the webbing up a tree that has climbing sticks, screw ins or ladder sticks ? Right now I pre tie a safety line above my stands when i hang them, then each time I hunt I hook into the Prusik knot to ascend and descend . This would be nice as I can do a controlled decent in case of a fall , something I've done with rope systems at work. If it could be attached to the Prusik knot then we'd have something !
  18. Agree, stay strong year round, the benefits will far surpass shooting a bow. I never get sore when I shoot for the first time each year ( late summer ), and it's never a struggle to,draw and hold. The shoulder is a complex joint , and one that has done in many of my co workers , I have double impingement , bone spurs and the beginning of frozen shoulder . As long as I stay strong and do my PT exercises shooting a bow is not really an issue.
  19. Wow 4 hours and this is it ! Expected a much better day, normally I only walk for 1 1/2 or so and find 1 or 2 and bigger.... Nice day though , knife for scale btw.

https://ourfiniteworld.com/2014/12/07/ten-reasons-why-a-severe-drop-in-oil-prices-is-a-problem/ link that should help with understanding oil prices. Dom, glad you're going back to work, my wife's company is moving to Mexico and dispite me buying her a sombrero and Rosetta Stone, she retired and is now home all day..... This may drive me to take up,turkey hunting !
  22. I've been walking around staring at the ground looking for something the shape of an antler , and that puts me in a major fog . Btw our youngest dated a UB soccer player (goalie from Texas) for 4 years , she broke my heart when she broke up,with him great kid . His brother plays for Notre Dame .
  23. Bodyguard is a good gun , a locked breach is rare on small guns, thats a nice plus . I'm not a laser fan either shot a few , some Kahr's ,an air weight SW , sub compact Glock. I guess I'm just old school and can't adapt to them , I spent more time watching that dot bob around than it takes me to fire half a mag with open sights .( and hit ) I really wanted to like them too . There's a lot I like about the Tomcat , ( I have one) the grip for sure , the extra round over my LCP . I'd like to give it to our youngest , who has her permit, but the da/sa , no hammer drop safety , half cock ,and the 4 levers and buttons seams a bit much for a newbie . But with that long heavy trigger pull you really gotta mean for it to fire .
