  1. Technically waking up at the same time lol. But seeing 4:00 instead of 5:00 might mess with your mind a bit LOL
  2. Some will, some won't. I had one walking away through the brush. Tipped the can a couple times and next thing I know, He's on a line toward the bottom of my tree. On the contrary, I've tipped the can and they never even stopped. Keep trying it.
  3. It's never too late. I don't know why people are so scared about walking through the woods lol, you won't scare all the deer away by walking through one time.
  4. Maybe it was a mythical creature and you mistakened its shiny, glitter covered horn for an arrow.
  5. Should be a great weekend, good luck everyone! 38 degrees on the hill here in chenango county
  6. +1 to Jala. Also it isn't a bad idea to walk the woods and look for some fresh sign. Maybe those hot spots last year aren't so hot this time around. I have stands that are in the same situation. You don't have to go stomping around, but after a morning sit do a nice slow walk through and see what you can find.
  7. With what you are describing, arrow covered in blood, found the front half, I would say there is blood on the ground somewhere. You guys are just missing it. I have had a time where I didn't see any blood. Brought six buddies into the woods to comb for it. Guess what? We found blood and tracked it to the deer. Good luck I hope you find it.
  8. Yeaaaa! Congrats Geno! Let the rage Eat!.. On the other hand, Hopefully you didn't stun it and it gets up and takes off! LOL Knock on wood
  9. " I would love to find out who is shooting arrows towards my house." Sounds like someone has been smoking too many of them left handed cigarettes.
  10. Sorry for the confusion guys, that was me. I'm a superhero and was making sure noone was hurt. You're friendly neighbordood, Renegade.
  11. Saw two good bucks on the chase hard this morning. They are out there. Still gotta be in the right place though. This was my first good morning of the season
  12. Haha, Teebug I thought this was another post from you LOL. Hey, my luck turned around today!
  13. What a morning! Was sitting about 50 yards inside the woods of an overgrown field. Around 8 i had a doe come crashing into the woods 15 yards, then stopped and looked behind her. Then came a bruiser buck at least an 8 point with white tines. She took off back into the field and there he went. No shot, standing behind a bunch of saplings. About 4 minutes later I see deer working there way toward me. 3 does. Came in to 20 yards, the first two were about 2/3 the size of the third one. Those two came into the clearing and I was waiting on the third to draw on. Then another buck comes storming into the woods and they scatter! Real nice six point, nose to the ground. 25 yards and no shot! He worked them from the field into the woods two more times. each time getting further away. Awesome morning sit.
  14. Go get em! Im going to try and not get blown at tomorrow too. And I also thought about wearing the ol Marine Corps Digi but its a little too light for 30 degrees Lol. That and it's green (woodland) or tan (desert). Might have to wait till spring turk lol.
  15. I would say that is the route to go then
  16. Hell yes, predicting snow possibly tomorrow and thurs here in 7m.
  17. That sums it up! Thanks Grow lol
  18. I was wondering the same thing but didn't want to be the one to ask LOL. I read south wind and i'm scratching my head thinking "It sure as hell looks like a norht wind to me" haha.
  19. I would just bring in some "active scrape" scent and spray a squirt or two on it. Might get him to check it more often. I did that with the buck im hunting and he is keeping them fresh, or maybe other deer are hitting it too. Only problem with mine is they are on the edge of the field and he hits them at night.
  20. I do know a lot of successful hunters that don't use anything at all. And kill nice bucks. Preference I guess. Just gives me a peace of mind to have my face covered
  21. Welcome to the site. I would get in there and look for some sign this time of year. Rub lines and scrapes. I have learned from my uncle all my life. He isn't afraid of making a walkthrough to see what area he is tearing up and where the fresh sign is. Then he makes his move with the climber. If you happen to bump him in that time it won't make him disappear forever. Some might not agree, but the proof is in the pudding and on his wall. Good luck, I hope you get him. I currently have a bruiser I am trying to get my hands on. Have found his sign and is luckily going through an area I already have a stand in. Hunt it then give it a rest for a few days.
