not kidding. i wish they would increase the fall limit also. during the fall i have flocks of 100+ in front of me and can only shoot one.

great! more turkeys than i can handle. i wish dec would increase limit to about 5 toms.

got my third turkey this spring. she went thru the haybine. she wouldnt leave the nest. she was nesting in 6foot rye. spent the day mowing, glad i didnt hit a fawn.

i think you guys should push transferable turkey tags, its the only way your tags are going to get filled. hahahaah

turkey season is the warm up to bulls in septemper. there is nothing better than calling elk. -

are you sure that its oats? i've never had oats make it to spring. -
i should be in unit 74 mid september for muzzy elk if i don't draw a better tag. tough hunt, lots of hunters, rough country, high elevation. my backpacking days are pretty much over. i will be hunting within 3 miles of a road.

one point might be the difference between 1500 and 3000+ plus hunters in the unit.

if you want i'll pick a unit for you. today is the deadline for putting in for limited entry tags, did you put in? did you put in for a point? do you have any points? do you want go early bow season(starts end of august) or september before muzzy(muzzy runs 9/10-9/18) or during muzzy or after? how many days?

lots of units to choose from. what kind of shape are you in? how are you going to get your elk out? do you want to go with an outfitter? do you want to sit? do you want spot and stalk? do you want to call? are you going by yourself? thats a start.

elk deadline has gone by, draw should be in a couple weeks.

go to azgfd, look up hunting seasons. you might be able to hunt deer and turkeys with a bow otc in select units. if nothing else find some bulls that are bugling.

why plant rye? the deer only like it when its young and tender. give them something to grow big antlers all summer. i love rye in the fall and winter as long as it not planted to early. rye is great at germinating at low temps, you shouldn't have any problem with it growing.

watched jay gregory and his wife last night. they had a buck come in down wind using 2 ozonics. buck never smelled them. its got to work becuase they said so, right?

some day you're going to be your dads age and have more time. he can show it to you anytime, it doesn't need to be deer season.
