  1. Rain and the wind bad..staying in..had planned early morning in the rain but the windis nasty..
  2. We have my hunting at home 73 acres, camp for the guys 68 + permission on adjoining 50,,. Only I work our property camp grows natural. I work mostly 38 out of the 73. I rotate 10 planting areas. In those I have 15 plots . I do small plots and trail plots .I have so many different mast trees to feed them all year and 200 red natual growing oak. What dont I grow...I started with all the things everyone said wouldn't work and many things guys laughed at me for. Now you see a lot of it in commercial seeds. Go figure...lol. I have 35+stands, 4 raised blinds, a dozen or so brush blinds,4 pop ups and 2 climbers. Springs streams and a swamp, that area is left alone other then stands. Watering tubs near all plots. Hundreds of yards of brush pile fencing.
  3. Moog..thanks,been there done that...and just did it again to make sure. I have te-wrotten (re-written),this 4 ,ti.es(times) screen rotation no longer works . Doesn't hold a charge..lol Can you hear me singing?...cheap,cheap,cheap,cheap..........
  4. That's not good,I just know them from the spring plot semiar they send me a flier for. I know they do a pre-order for trees and are on chest nut hills feed store list.
  5. Pulled venison, wheat rolls corn from last year's garden and salad.
  6. Well because there is no need to...I spend plenty on food plots fertilizer and micro minerals for the soil ...I will let the locals and not so locals around me continue to put out their "blocks, and spray their donkey what ever all over their trees and brush Those deer will still be walking over to me for their turnips and salads..and clear clean drinking water...
  7. Trees brush, the more the merrier...All of my plots incorporate not only trees but lots of brush...they weave in and out of it....and so do the animals....last 4 picks same small plot different angle. I have gotten some of my best pics off this area and some fine deer as well as several turkey.
  8. Did you set up a plan for the plot...like plot and the leaving strips of that very nice looking cover of golden rod in between? Look at spots to plant some Dunstan chestnuts or something else no one around has as mast trees? of course where sun wouldn't shade the plot out later on? I have picked up trees at the Hornell Walmart but the Arkport feed store had a tree deliverey..They do a lot of food plot stuff...just curious
  9. I was getting a few but lately just obscenely big doe and unfortunately at least one very big coyote. Nice pics.
  10. Can any one tell I was on the kindle when posting before? I know what I typed it was quite simple: " when ticket prices got obscenely high."
  11. Aahhh well they did address it...Anyone know if that was the rewrite they did after the whole law suit on deer feeding ,or has it always been that way? I would think something like that would or could cause the water to go rancid...or the minerals or what ever they use to go bad in summer heat...Wish I could find that page again it was ad or something attached to a video I was watching I think..I'd never heard of it before..
  12. So went out late again...they aren't gobbling until 10:30 -11...sat in a very old brush blind with a boat seat in it ..very comfy. This is just below the ridge top(65ft) and 75-80 feet before the hill drops again to the oak flats where the opener blind is and directly across from that blind. Nothing, so I finally got up and called my way to the mid woods cam ,there's a dog house blind there I switch cards(just a very bagged up, huge bellied doe and I walked by). A gobble filled the air down past River lane way blind in the neighbors swamp...I quick got settle in the dog house and did a few cackles and yelps then a little purring ..he gobbled again a bit closer so I shut up...What do I hear next...want to guess? SOB he started that tractor and I swear he should have blown the engine on that old thing as fast as he was running it down the road and up that steep hill. The engine was just roaring that was at 11:15.. he got to the lane way at 11:30 pulled half way down and parked...nothing, no loading, no sawing, nothing. I kid you not ,my watch 11:59 he starts it back up and leaves...It is so ridiculously petty, no one hunts turkey there, no one, it actually makes me laugh. So I get to the top of the hill at the new plot and a gobble sounds in the other neighbors pine plantation...then to the garden and I hear the Tom I was after gobbling as he's coming up the hill... Oh well tomorrow is another day...It was such a gorgeous morning out there with that warm breeze and somewhat fewer black flies how could I be irritated
  13. I'm the wife and Mr B does not cook ....this wasn't meant to be offensive, though it seemed to miss it's mark ,sorry. No,I would not pay that for a concert either. I stopped going to concerts when ticket progesterone obscenely high.
  14. Not what I said Biz..read that again and figure out why I put in the "END" in quotes...Lol BTW, I would never compare me food to a train chiefs,I'm more a dinner type cook. My subtly was tad too subtle I guess
  15. Lol huge is a corn spider, they are like a skinny version of a tarantula....
  16. I could never consider any food worth that much...not even once in my life. Looks nice, artful, I'm sure smelled wonderful,no doubt taste was sublime. Though it will look and smell no better than my cooking in the "end"
  17. Had no choice in for early morning.. between the hunts and bouncing around on th lawn track to for 2 hrs yesterday my lower back had me flipping around in bed like a fish on the shore. There was no getting comfortable. Mr B this a.m. " Wow you look rough!" Gee there's the cherry on top...lol
  18. Has tho have the "violin" on head section to be one.
  19. Condolence..gone but never lost in leaving you with good memories.
  20. No thoughts on this,I'm surprised I expected some type of discussion on it.
  21. Well I'll be out every dang day if possible...These 2 Toms are always one step ahead of me and not going in any regular pattern as far as roosting nor feeding...I do think I now have a clear handle on where the girls have nests
  22. Mr B did it with an old DEC boat he bought off a guy then added a blue marine carpet and put in two pedestal swivel fishing seats very comfy...though that was a bit tricky on the stabilizing the bases. a cooler between the seats in case someone else wants to come fishing with us or he can have two guys go out with him...now son and grand son and keeps the bait and drinks in handy reach for both of us. Canadice...ohhh so nice...
  23. Congrats Lawd.. Well mind change again and went out again 10 :30 I let loose and got a gobble. He was on the far west end of the ridge above that opening day blind. We talked a while and he was getting closer and I was quiet until the next real close gobble and did some clucks and a soft yelp...basically what I've been hearing the girls do. Then what he did was stay just on the low side of ridge away from me and paced the area parallel to me. he wouldn't come up and over. then I heard him gobbling in our woods across the street...at 12 I started to leave and hadn't he made a large loop around the side hill and was right back on the ridge again...I heard him gobbling as I walked down the drive. I believe headed for the plot ...I pulled all cards when I left so I won't know...Had a big yote on cams but forgot to copy after resizing, dummkopf.
