does not on mine... -
Congrats to you all what a fine morning to hunt...but the alarm was turned off..I have to go into the city to redeem last of Gander points and do a early summer stock up at Sams. To be honest the thought of fighting the bugs was just too much today..tired of living under a bug net. I even got on line and bought my self a hammock with an attached bug net...If I decide I want to relax and read a book out side this summer...It will be bug free...Good luck guys

I'd point out that in both your posts...you did exactly what you accused others of doing. Though I believe that may go over your head.. I'd also point out that your responses with your snide remarks,in both, were because you disagreed with someone else opinion. Though being so high on that horse of yours you'd fail to see it. Again give me a break !

You really only need day times...So if you know the angle of the Sun and how the shadows play out during hunting season then you have a good time references...it's not difficult to figure out nor see. Those are nice pics..what is the trigger distance? And shutter speed/ recovery? -
Condolences on your families loss

I wouldn't rely on the weight of those buckets from keeping it from flipping in a good wind...We have our canvas "barn" tied with anchor bolts in to 1' diameter 20 foot telephone poles...That's just the extra heavy weight farm tarp covering it. The frame legs them selves are cabled to 3' rebar pounded into the ground with anchor rings welded to them. We lost one completely and had another flip before that using screw in ground anchors. I'd do the anchored 4x4's with a hole drilled through at the height you want then run a bolt through that and the legs...but also to keep the tubing from tearing I would screw a clamp around it above and below the bolts...one time secure and you don't need to lay out more $$$$ down the road..only takes a little extra time and money..never underestimate the force of wind and gusts.

If that didn't work I would hit her with the kitchen sink...clucks fighting purrs yelping all fast and furious....I have had them come back ready to kick the competitions butt...If the area has had a few Toms taken ,those hens are also looking to be the first in line

That's too funny...so do I . They are addicting!..LOL

I had a terrible problem when going from fingers to a release...I bought one similar to the wrist strap one mlammershirt posted...it sits in my hunting last resort bin. I thought about and still do about the one TCll has shown...though I just know it would find it's way to the ground.. This is similar to the one I have from tru ball. Mines put away at the moment...I love the buckle strap. I love the movement and length of shaft and the ease of trigger adjustment. the shaft is just long enough for me to grab in my pull, the strap strong enough to allow me to to have a relaxed hand and fingers to avoid a premature release...That was a problem when I first started using one. Dang if I wasn't accidentally hitting the trigger early. For the speed and torque I was told and I know it to be true for me, releases are the only way to go on these new bows..I own a mission Venture. I shot fingers for years with the older Hoyt but it was a much slower bow then this Venture.. Have her go to a shop with a range and see if they would allow her to try out a few releases...mine was around $85.00 4 yrs ago,got it in camo. http://truball.com/Predator.html

I have made my own from broken carbon arrows and dried corncobs, piece of cut and drilled hard wood ...I filed a bevel on the end and they work pretty well -
Just give me a break Doc. Now I don't go for the name calling and such . Though Both beach and chas has COMPLETELY ignored the FACT that a dang good many of these kids are taken out by NON parental hunters. That this is probably the ONLY way they are going to be exposed to turkey hunting. Why should these volunteers also be asked to give up their first day or weekend of the turkey season? I don't know...... lets see between the OP and chase's how many times was this mentioned? How many guys here posted about taking other peoples kids out for the youth season? YET here he is talking entitlements..Pull off those freaking blinders already and move on! Ya this one ticked me off...

After two days no gobbles and the sound of just one fly down ...I'm giving them a break...They have been hearing locator sounds a whole bunch of hen sounds and listening to the deer snort and the fox dashing around do the catching scents. They need a break. Though seeing the fox and yotes have been out big time in the area I'm glad everyone else has been out as well...this is also a good nesting area...actually the neighbors 2yrs old logging is great nesting So if all the activity this weekend has helped move the predators out some ....That's a good thing. Lots of work to do...dang suppose to go up to 85 here this week .

3:30 found me heading for the shower and I was out the door and in the new spot by 4:30...Sweet! Well I pushed deer but who ever was below me had the woods singing with snorts...waited and waited not a peep then I start hearing this rhythmic timed caw,caw...Please if your trying to get them to sound off at least sound real LOL...I did some Oh so soft clucks and purrs and nothing at 6:30 I had a single young doe come in feeding and then walk straight to me ...at 10ft she would look up and stare then sniff around and look up...but then got a bit jumpy and walked off looking back over her shoulder..I have lunch in big Flats so left at 7a.m. ...pulled cards across the street nothing there either. Well raccoons rabbits and Oh on the way home glassed between me and the house..A huge grey/blk coyote trotted across our place to the hunting camp next door. Here's a pic of grass they are all eating..Anyone know what it is?
