NYS gettin' in the bud business . . .
boo711 replied to Enigma's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Moderation will not hurt. Abuse will unfortunately. I have seen it myself. Am currently watching my cousin kill himself because he likes to drink. His kids don’t even associate with him anymore and he could care less. As long as he has that 30 pack of Busch beer every day he is perfectly happy. It’s a shame to see unfortunately. -

Their insurance companies will pay. Some people think it is a good idea to have free health care for all, or universal health care. If that happens we all will be paying for it. Let’s hope that never gets passed. -
Yup. Been a Braves fan since mid 80’s. But like I said season is WAY to long. I’m lucky if I watch 2 or 3 games during the regular season. Baseball isn’t good until the playoffs. Very disappointed there will be 12 teams in the playoffs starting this year. Should stick with old format. Adding teams is almost as bad as NFL considering changing OT rules. No need for it.

25?? Do you have some type of attractant you use?? All kidding aside hope no one was hurt.
-
I was hoping for a shortened season. 162 games is way to long. 100 would be good. Baseball doesn’t get good until the playoffs anyway. Go Braves!!!

Some of the best years my kids had was playing travel Lacrosse during the summer. I don’t miss paying for gas, hotels, having to pay for breakfast, lunch, dinner for a full weekend, etc. but I’d do it all over again if they wanted now that they are in college!!
-
Won’t affect me much. I’m about 5 minutes from one of my hunting areas. 10 minutes from another. Usually hunt those during the week. Will still head to camp on the weekends. Can’t just let it sit there I’m paying taxes on it so will use it just as I always have which is just about every weekend during the year. Keep trying to get the wife to move down there full time. No go so far. With kids in college I’m the only one in the house who eats venison so 2 is my goal just like every year but 1 will get me through the year.
-
Spend it all yourself. Don’t worry about leaving money for the kids!!! Lol

Biden just said the US has pumped more oil in the past year than Trump did in his first year. Man he is tough to listen to. He also said gas companies in the US have over 9000 leases currently approved for drilling oil and they are all not being used. Basically passing the blame onto someone else. This country is so screwed.

Your discount should have come off dealer cost, which is below invoice not off the sticker price. Should have actually showed you the invoice showing what they paid and what the discount would be. Or they should show you the invoice. I’ve never bought a vehicle without them showing it to me. Employee pricing and friends and family discount are printed on all invoices. Hope you got that instead of off the sticker price

Very nice. A few of my buddies have a similar setup where they hunt. Have heat and some portable chargers for there phone so they can play their games all day. They hunt in sweats and tshirts. I’m not there yet. I like the natural ground blinds and being “outside”. The cold doesn’t bother me. I’d rather be outside in the winter and inside when it is in the upper 80’s & 90’s. Not a heat guy. I’d be interested to see how you get that all settled in its “perch” and look forward to photos when it is all done

Yeah I called them yesterday. They said they won’t come out to take care of and seemed to have a “your problem not ours attitude”. Lol. Think I’ll just drag to road and let the state highway guys deal with it

Just did a quick read in some of his policies. The thing I don’t like is the Medicare for all part and the universal education part. I don’t want to pay for someone else’s health insurance. And not sure how this could happen without us paying for it in taxes. Maybe there is another way he plans on doing it. I don’t want to have to pay for others schooling. I’ve got a senior and a sophomore in college. There education will be paid for within the next 6 years. I do not want to have to pay for others schooling and wouldn’t expect others to pay for my kids schooling. Other than that I didn’t see anything glaring but again it was just a quick search. -
I went yesterday to check some trail cams behind my cousins shop. Found a dead deer laying right next to the building. Not going to be easy to drag into the woods as it is thick as hell for at least 75 yards when entering the woods and it is all uphill. Not something I want to tackle. Thought about just dragging it to the road and leaving it, hoping state would pick up. Also thought about hauling it to another area I hunt and using it for coyote bait. Just not sure if “legal” to be transported. Don’t want to just leave there to decompose. Then I’ll have to take of it once mowing season starts. Any thoughts on getting rid of a dead deer??

Buttigieg?? I must have missed that one. Why is my only question???? -
Interesting. I’m in the market for a new pistol in the next couple weeks. I’ll see if anything changes in the process this time. It’s been a while since I bought my last gun. I know my certification is good for a couple years
-
When I bought my pistols I paid for them but the dealer held gun until I went to the sheriffs dept and had it added to my permit. No one ever said anything about the recertification. My apologies for confusing you. I misunderstood somewhere along the lines. Lol.
-
As long as you are 500 feet away from occupied dwellings, not near a school, church or a park you should be fine. Especially with 10 acres. If I wasn’t violating any of those I wouldn’t worry about neighbors. Your using your land for what you bought it for
-
I must have misunderstood then. Recertification has nothing to do with buying or how long it has been since you last bought one since you go through a background check whenever you buy. I think I’m still confused. Lol
-
Yes recertification is every five years but you are still able to buy one. Just add that along with all others when you do the recertification and list your pistols on the recertification. Recertification is through the state police. County has nothing to do with the recertification. If you did recertification in 2014 you would have had to do it in 2019 so you should be good until 2024 if I added the years up correctly
-
Lol. Now you turn in the forms they fill out when you turn I’m your paperwork. Why would you use an ex girlfriend, or were you still together when you originally asked to use her as a reference??
-
You should be able to print your paperwork from the sheriffs department website. I know Onondaga county office is closed to the public unless you have an appointment so you have to print the application out. Will save you a trip
-
Just go buy one. Don’t have to have recertification done to get another pistol
-
Very nice!!
