Hopefully it's not mentally under developed. -
Most truck guys have the mentality that's it's just a truck so they skimp on washes , I like to get our vehicles through the car was that sprays the underneith when it gets above freezing during salt season. Worst thing you can do to a vehicle is park it inside during the winter.

What ever truck you get ,look into that rust away spray . Even if you just have them do inside the doors ,tailgate and rockers . The stuff is amazing , I had a 2004 cavalier winter car sprayed one time and it's still is rust free every where.
