  1. I’ve hunted them numerous times but never with a guide or outfitter.
  2. I just read it to my wife.............we have tears running down our chubby cheeks. Memories of days gone by are some of life's greatest treasures. Today is a great day for you to celebrate your father's life, cheers!
  3. If I ever went for the allure of the 'leever action, it'd be one of the three; Winchester 94, Marlin 336 or a Savage 99. Probably a 30-30 or 35 Remington. Of course it wouldn't be a scoped..........
  4. LOL..............................
  5. Da Wiz!!!!! Happy Birthday Bizzy.........what’s the big plan for the day??
  6. Great. What gun and chambering are you thinking now? Lots of great information here.......... Glass?
  7. Breakfast for dinner.............omelet & toast.
  8. Hey Gunner: Welcome to Hunting New York and..................HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
  9. .....”just wait until Mr B gets a hold of little Bizzy boy. He’ll grind that peckerhead up and feed ‘em to Angel.”
  10. Ugly deal.....glad for that lovely steel plate!
  11. Ironic as heck............For a couple months now I've been cruising some chainsaw/arborsites. I renewed my interest in cutting after replacing my old (but still in excellent shape) 026 with a new 261cm. I've cleaned up a pile of downed trees and felled a few too (edit to add: done this winter) for friends and family. I have enjoyed reading all sorts of neat stuff on these other sites and stumbled onto this, just minutes ago. It was posted earlier today by a professional tree surgeon: "Yesterday we removed a 36” red oak in an older lady’s front yard. Ground the stump, nothing technical so no pics warranted. We were packing up around noon and the woman comes out and tells me her husband was killed removing a branch on that tree three years prior while working on a ladder. Yikes, I gave my condolences." Weird huh?
  12. Good for you Larry, you deserve it. Take the wife on a nice elk hunt....................
  13. If the non-trunk end of the branch hits the ground first, odds are the butt end will punch you right off the ladder as seen in the videos. Maybe it WON'T knock you off, maybe it'll just come up and whack you in the arm, leg etc. Roll the dice if you'd like; I'll pass.
  14. You three guys meeting for a big celebration?? Hopefully you’re all going to have a great night shared with family & friends. Cheers!!
  15. So where would you position your ladder to cut "a few feet from trunk first"?
  16. Makes me sick watching those videos.....not sure why I do.
  17. I just posted twice now and they don't show ? WTH............ Oh crap, this is the political section!!!!
