  1. You guys all suck for lots of reasons............... Do you lug nuts EVER go to a doctor? My Dr would freak RTFO if I ate like you guys.................................
  2. CED cronograph for me. Had it for probably 10 years now and it works fine.....
  3. I'm 90% now..........awfully short cold duration but I'll take it.
  4. Let's just call it a small fox. Happy now?
  5. Nice shoot in' Elmo!! Congratulations to the entire family!!
  6. Not stink bugs for us but spiders everywhere! I leave the house in the morning and spider webs are hanging off everything.................at night we can watch some huge spiders working their webs on the front porch. Cool but freaky!
  7. Wow, that's pretty drastic! Glad it work for you Oak..........I wouldn't be surprised if I could do the same as I've always been a pretty good switch hitter when it comes to long guns and baseball bats. The only fly in the ointment is BOTH arms/shoulders are equally bad.
  8. Photobucket ate up my good pics.....at some point I'll get things figured out again.
  9. I never new that there was so much disdain for cargo shorts..............I don't wear them that often so I guess that shows my fashion sense is just somehow ingrained in my being.
  10. My wife swears by Airborne. It didn't help me........... It's worth chewing a pile of them NOW, before the symptoms start.
  11. Oh, you're correct on both counts........
  12. It's just a cold, never had any allergies except of course the latex allergy at that one Dr's office..........
  13. I got to work this morning and all of a sudden me ears were plugged solid, like I had shooting muffs on. I grabbed a couple Tylenol something or others and about 45 minutes later they opened back up..... I'll take a couple more here in a few minutes before I hit the rack. I'd be thrilled to make it to 4am.......
  14. Seems like about all I do lately is bitch. My son has had it for 5-6 days now and I got it two days ago. Purty nasty from my nose up, the rest of me is good. I've bumped into a few people the past week or so in the same boat.........lovely. Hopefully this will be all I get until AFTER hunting season is over.
  15. 9.5/10 when I'm watching a hunting show and the temperatures are cold where they're hunting the "stars" are always wearing a baseball hat. Inevitably all they have on is a fairly light looking jacket too! I don't know about you guys/gals but I'm bundled up like the Michelin Man. Once in a great while they'll yank a winter hat OVER their ball cap. To me that's about the most uncomfortable way to wear a hat.......... WTH is up with these guys?
  16. I just took a couple shots and it's not any worse, livable for now. Doc: I have it set at 52-53lbs. I don't know if you're going to suggest lowering the poundage but for now I'll be sticking with it unless there's a total functional blowout.
  17. You ever look at the champs board at Putt Putt on Sheridan? Yea/no.......I'm not even on the back of the damn sign. Congrats to your buddy TF, that's very cool!
  18. No, not that strong. 4.5% I think........my boss bought me a 4pk at Woodcock Bros Brewery in Wilson Tuesday night and gave it to me Wednesday. I kept it in the fridge at work all day.........it is their amber ale they call "Red Head". I really like it........could be medicinal even.
  19. Steve......I have two stretchy things; one in the basement hanging from a floor joist and one in the bedroom. At least once a day I yank on either one or both of them to stretch things out. Guess what, neither one causes any pain! Figures........
  20. You my friend have hit on the subliminal point of the post. Nice going......
  21. Thanks Dave......For the past 25 years I've had all kinds of hurt going on and I've been awful lucky. No surgery but it's been offered by the doc's a few times. When I owned my business I couldn't afford to be laid up and out of work. Somehow with some creative measures by those same DR's and some terrific PT I've avoided the knife. I think and hope I can live with this but we'll see how it is in January. Last I checked I could buy a (GULP/UGH/OH CRAP NO) xbow at a moments notice if I had to. I won't over do it.........promise.
  22. I'm sure there is growie. I've had issues since spring and I know how I hurt the right arm/elbow. It'd be a comp issue for people that DON'T work for a friend. Ugh
  23. Last night I shot my bow in the basement as I have been now for a few weeks. Each time I shoot I have some pain in both arms/elbows and am restricting myself to just 4-6 shots as the pain sucks....... Last night I wanted to swap off to my back up release; it's the same "release" just a different strap/harness. Well let me tell you, I was in horrible pain! I ended up taking two shots (dumb ass) as I couldn't believe how the first one hurt! The most severe pain came from somewhere in my right elbow. Wow, it felt like some thing was shredding...... I thought, OK, I'll just mothball the bow until about the 10-12 of October then shoot for a few days and then start hunting. Heck, I really just limit my shots to inside of 20 yards and most are around 13 yards anyways........pretty sobering to say the least that I had this horrible pain and I wasn't going to be able to practice as much as I'd like and it was going to delay my season. 24 hours later.......after a craft brew in a can, I had the brilliant idea to head to the basement and crank one off. (no you idiots.....NOT that) 6 shots later with my main #1 release and it was 95% pain free......YEA!!!!! So at this point for the most part I'd blame different hand placement with the different release strap as the reason for the pain. For now I'd say I'm back on track for an early start.
