Monday (Labor Day) is going to be The_Real_TCIII's Birthday!! I know I promised to not jump the gun on the calender but WTH, Happy Birthday TC I can only imagine the partying going in Clarence Center right now. Even though it's a day early I bet the streets are blocked off and the parade is going strong! It'd probably be an even bigger celebration if those darned volunteer fireman didn't have THEIR little shindig going on the same weekend. I forget what "dash" it is but could go check if it matters. I bought it when I couldn't find a S&W 342 5-6 years ago then sure as shiit, I found the 342 on line and haven't done anything with the 642 since. She's not sighted in as the scope (vintage Leupold VariX II 2x7) came back last year from a fluff & buff in Oregon and was mounted but not dialed in. I have a box of (GULP) factory Federal Premium 120 grain Partitions left from past paper punching and will get it on paper tomorrow in case I get a wild hair or somebody else needs to use it. The rings must be medium height and I'd prefer lows but they'll be fine. Here you go.......

Lots of great choices.........nice to see a few are still toting their ML'rs. It's neat to see the diversity in CF rifles too. There's "gun guys" that get a lot of enjoyment in their rifles, there's guys using guns with sentimental or historical value and then there's those that will be using "package" guns while sporting a Rolex on their wrist. I think it's all great. I'm a "gun guy" through and through and always have been. Not necessarily old historic or sentimental stuff but could turn that corner at some point too. Synthetic stocks wrapped around lightweight barrelled actions are what I'm into. That said, my wood stocked Sako 375 H&H could easily get pulled from the shadows for an easy evening hunt in favorable weather. Or the 257 Roberts Remington 722.............

Centerfire rifles, yes. Not sure about rimfire but I did hear that he won't be making 209 smokeless muzzleloaders anymore. Not gospel though......... You order a CF rifle? I just loaded a small batch of ammo for my NULA .243 to add to what I already had. Love that pipsqueak rifle!

Ya, that's a good spread. What did you use as a blind? I'd love to go if you have room and I'm free.........
