  1. OUCH! What happened? Call me if I can help: 888-888-8888 or my cell 444-444-4444
  2. I'm considering a new Chevy but they scare me some..........
  3. No gloves for me while bowhunting 98% of the time, hand warmers ALWAYS though when I have the need. I'll use gloves to walk to and from the stand and also while climbing but I shoot WAY better without them. YMMV
  4. That's the shiit that spooks me........................
  5. We all have lots of connections to Florida through family and friends........a fair portion of the state could have horrendous damage and there isn't much anyone can do. Stay safe and please keep us posted.
  6. To be clear, this is in my garage. I'm praying that last year while on campus it was full of low cal juice drinks, milk, fruit, vegetables etc.
  7. Seems like a interesting coincidence that the refrigerator my daughter used last year at UB (doesn't need it this year, they have a full size model) holds an 18 pack in the door PERFECTLY.
  8. Turkey burgers, German potato salad, green salad and beer.
  9. Not necessarily what I'm looking for but it's a cool classy gun. GLWS..........
  10. My boss has a three year old Honda Ridgeline. That seems like it'd be a good compromise for a guy like you............I've ridden in it and driven it many times. Peppy and very comfortable. Nice big back seat for kids, groceries etc. Your bow would ride nicely. Granted, I think the NEW style looks like ass!
  11. I hear moog has a pretty snappy truck. That COULD change your mind.............
  12. Nice looking gear. I'm eye balling those stands also........... As far as the gap between the bracket and the stand, all I can say is that with the Screaming Eagle stands I've been using for over 25 year, after I hang the stand I will put the platform down and take my heal and SLAM it down just about as hard as I can do right ta the back of the stand, near the bracket. I don't use brackets and my stands use a chain at a slight downward angle. Meaning that where the chain goes around the tree it is then angled down to where the stand rests against the tree. When you "set" your heal, it jambs the stand tight against the tree.
  13. Pin? Hell, my eyes are closed.
  14. Tonight in the basement........ Special note here: I'm now shooting 4-6 arrows each morning and evening in the basement @ 13 feet. Both of my shoulders and my right bicep are causing a fair amount of pain right now and I think it's slowly getting better. These two arrows are "on the money" as I was shooting for the tiny pieces of tissue just to the right edge of each shaft. And no, I don't have a 13' setting on my QAD sight. I'll be fine for the season, no sweat.
  15. My father has a place in Bonita also, just talked to him about the storm. He's a very cool customer! He and his wife own a condo and the association is on top of things. My uncle is in the Tampa area......lots of people I know also in Florida. Glad my wife and I just sold my FIL's home in Kissimmee....... GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!
  16. It's probably what's NOT in Columbia County that makes it appeal to the City Folks.......
  17. I'm sorry to hear that Dom. If this hunting season doesn't happen this year, no sweat. Get healed up completely before you risk a not-perfectly healed drumstick to damaging it while hunting. You have a good lawyer working your case?
  18. Hope you two guys had/have a great Birthday!!
  19. Not much.......I'll take a small vacuum bottle of soup and possibly another with hot cocoa if it's cold enough. A bottle of water too, usually.......... I know the soup isn't really a beverage but figured I'd list it too. Granted, this is for a dark to dark sit. If I'm in it for 3-4 hours in the morning I'll sometimes bring some java.
  20. There ya go! That's the spirit, if you can't ID a critter at a distance with the naked eye, use your scope. Heck you might just get a shot! Jeezzzz, what if it's a human? Nawww, can't happen.............
  21. If'n you rake the woods we know you're in another league............
  22. It'll be a couple years before he's on your "hit list" (gawd I hate that term) but mistake kills happen.
  23. I've used the ready made thumb tacks with reflective heads a few times and they work great. In the daylight, you'd never know they're there.
