    The way I look at it is, after that election week hunt, if I've punched my buck tag great, I'll hunt doe for the remainder of the season. IF I didn't score on a buck, then I still have plenty of time to really get serious. As always, YMMV.

    Election week has always been a prime time for me to take some time off. This year I think it was 87 degrees +/- a few..... I hunted as hard as I could that week but my heart just wasn't in it. A few days later I took out a heart...............

    I am Paula. Misery loves company.........my Iphone is doing the same thing, SOMETIMES. half the time it boots right up, the other half of the time it either won't open or freezes up mid stream. I'm going to Frisbee it like I do my monkeyed up slate calls........................ EDDIE FIX THE SITE!!!!!!!!!! (it surely isn't on MY end)

    In Sept 2002 I paid $500 for Sportsman, $125 for Archery and $125 for Muzzleloader for a grand total of $750 smackers. At this point, my yearly average "all in" price per year is a tick under $54/year. Next year the average will be another tick less..........

    I've always been curious of the Lifetime License history................IIRC I got mine in 2002, thinking I was doing something good for me AND New York State sportsman & women. Little did I know they wouldn't get beans out of the interest................. Oh well, at least I made out on the deal. Lord knows I'm getting nothing out of my REAL personal investments these days. I knew I should have listened to Papist....................................

    I know of a HUGE tree farm south of Buffalo that gets to shoot antlered deer for obvious reasons. I haven't a clue on the particulars of the permit but I'm sure (and hopeful) the DEC keeps an eye on activity there.

    Dang you must have had a heck of a paper route while in high school.

    I'll take a swing at this............... Pistols/revolvers must go through a FFL when changing hands, hence the NICS check. Then the buyer & seller have a bill of sale/transfer that they can show their respective pistol permit departments because the FFL has to run the guns through HIS books. Clear as mud?

    I DVR'd the last 15 laps as I had to run to Lowe's. I just watched it and Denny isn't a favorite of mine but that's fine. It sure was better than a lot of NASCAR races...........................
