Looks good, the chucks are in trouble!

Why you SOB, you're the one I'm always cussing on the road!! That something new for OR use?
-
I see it all the time too Dom. I'd love to say something too instead of just muttering under my breath what a POS they are. I don't say anything as a confrontation with a douche bag like that could cost a law abiding citizen their pistol permit at a minimum..........

Welcome to the party BP28. Tell us about things in the Pocono's. How's the hunting there??
-
I don't know for positive but I'm pretty sure the bass fishing is primo on Honeoye. Somebody here should know..........
-
Sonny Boy & I had fresh crappie I caught Sunday at Honeyoe Lake. That, German potato salad and rye bread rounded out tonight's dinner. Chased of course by a Bud Light..........

I finally got a chance to read the article today. A very well done piece.........written from a guy that has the experience on both side of the border for many years. Hopefully this article gets passed around. I'll be clipping mine out and sending it to a friend who also is in agreement and has as many or more years hunting both side in the same general area.

1987 Lee Lablanc New york State Stamp Print
Lawdwaz replied to Goose chaser's topic in General Chit Chat
Tough to give away these days. I have a friend with a house full of duck and grouse stamps and their value is peanuts unfortunately. Good luck with your sale................. -
I thought you were out of the country.........nice to see you back.

My father has an Ithaca Model 37 16ga that has to be from the 40's I'd guess and it has a Poly Choke welded on.........it served him very well but I'd bet a dollar to donuts he's never touched it.

A nice plug from Steve Piatt (the editor of the NYON) in the current (4/17/2015) edition of the paper. On page 3 of the "Opinion" page he has noted the petition drive that was launched by NYDove Hunting. The goal is to get 10,000 signatures. The petition can be found at: nydovehunting.weebly.com If you haven't signed, please do and pass it on!

I'd not be too concerned on the value of a Mossberg 500 that has a Poly Choke onboard. I'd roll the dice on a cylinder bore over an eyesore..............

Cut that abomination off with a hack saw................today.

Evolution..........it happens with time. I still bow & gun hunt for deer as much or more than ever. Seems as though I'm hunting birds much less than I used to. Very little crow, duck, goose, pheasant or dove these days. The legalization of the CF rifle for deer has been the greatest changes I've ever seen. For years The biggest draw to hunting PA for deer has been that we could use a CF rifle. I NEVER thought I'd see the day that we could use one in the areas we can now. For guys that REALLY enjoy their rifles and shooting them that had to be like winning the damned lottery. I'm enjoying fishing more lately. As a kid I was a fishing fool.........anywhere/anytime I'd be casting a line. I caught fish out of ditches in Amherst with a hand line and bread balls for bait! Been chased away from farm ponds, been CAUGHT at farm ponds and had to put the fish back that we had on a stringer 'cause the lady said they were her pets. No wonder we hammered 'em so fast. I got away from fishing for probably 30 years until recently and am really enjoying it again. Spring turkey? This year I'll probably miss my first opening day since 1982 and I wouldn't be shocked if I don't kill a gobbler. Change is inevitable in life and good.

Don't worry about pics, you'll be seeing it in person when you have to fix it.
-
You might want to notify the DEC on that.

13 dead deer on how many acres or should I say in how many square miles?
-
Got 'em in the family room. Again........... Little bastards. I think they are done now, they started a couple weeks ago and seem to have beat feet to better living elsewhere.
-
MDF inside and Azek outside. The fellow I'm woking for uses miles (!) of Azek for trimming outside around windows. Thanks for the tips too. I'll be PM'ing you regarding some architectural advice in the coming days. Sharpen your pencil.......................

No kidding.......I go from the basement to the 2nd floor a hundred times a day. It HAS to help my waistline. (or just make me hungrier?)
-
It the bondo OK on the outside of the frame? Facing west..............of course. I've got more projects! If that stuff can handle the elements I could rule the world with it and duct tape..........................................and a .38 special.

I had shorts on at the time and no I didn't swallow it. But..................................I found it! It was on top of a vintage pipe tobacco canister/pipe rack that I must have moved then set more "stuff" on while clearing a spot on the work bench for the glue-up. It is all glued & clamped as of now. No pics of this project as the skilled trades guys here would shoot me.

I was doing some work on a PIA round window on the front of our house today. A piece of the frame broke off when I was pulling it off the window to get it ready for some paint. The chip is substantial and needs to be glued back in place......... IF I COULD FIND THE DAMNED THING!! I took the window and the chip down to the basement. As I reached for the glue I put the chip in my teeth to hold it for a second but then I thought "that's dumb, it probably has lead paint on it" so I took it out of my mouth and set it___________. I have no idea where the heck it went. I'm fit to be tied right now. I looked for 30 minutes and I'm done. Oh I wish I could type what I'm mumbling right now. A few members here have seen my basement, you guys think I'll ever find it? Simmering.................

So sorry to hear this. Sounds like she had a very tough go of it and it must have been terribly difficult for you and your family. Condolences............ RIP Thelma.

I haven't got a chance to read the current issue but will in the next day or so. Thanks for all your efforts in enlightening the non-believers.
