  1. I have a feeling that the knowledgeable guys are going to say definitely NOT the narrow front end. I bet they quit making those for a reason..........
  2. A lot can change in a matter of a few hours.
  3. Prayers from the west side of the state.
  4. An accident waiting to happen right there. I'd expect to see that as a movie sequel to the Texas Chainsaw Massacres. Scary stuff.....
  5. I went to the gun show today in Clarence. I saw a couple vendors that had bricks of standard velocity 22's for ..............$80.00 each. Saw another dude that had some bargain priced at $65.00 Yowsaaaaa!
  6. I would have a real difficult time answering that question and don't think I haven't thought about it. I keep typing then backspacing as my mind is a fuzzy trying to come up with a witty answer to the question but just can't do it. Wellsboro PA wouldn't be the worst choice. I sure enjoy my visits there but the one buck/hunting season knocks it out of contention. (seriously)
  7. LOL! I could just see someone posting up some pics of 10 acre food plots. "See what I can do with my 1985 Honda Big Red 3 wheeler?" We did a couple plots at my uncles with a ATV and they came out OK but decided that salt blocks are easier and much cheaper. <grin>
  8. The main reason I got my PA PP was because we spent many nights camping out in our trucks while scouting and hunting spring gobblers. I always slept much better knowing I had my S&W .38 tucked under my pillow, next to my Teddy Bear.
  9. I rarely buy any loaded ammo anyway. A couple thousand 22's would last me (unfortunately, as I'd rather be shooting it much more) probably 5 years. Turkey, waterfowl and dove ammo I could grab while in PA.
  10. I got my NYS PP in 1983. I believe I got my first PA PP in about 1985. We would go to the county seat of Tioga County, Wellsboro and IIRC it was free and good for 5 years? I probably had it for 15 years or so before I gave up on it and figured I'd lived in one of the toughest places in NYS (Erie County) and that any PA judge was a good enough guy and he'd set my bail low and let me serve my time on weekends. <grin>
  11. I think the OP is asking about a pistol permit?
  12. Grab a cup of Joe from your Keurig and click on these babies........... http://mcb-homis.com...g_410/index.htm http://mcb-homis.com...r9410/index.htm Me, I'll pass on the 410 for deer. When firearms deer season is on, I don't want to be nestled into a pine tree watching a couple trails that intersect 10 yards away like I would with the bow. If your using a 410, your really limiting your effective range and I know that just like the bow, guys would be tempted to take a shot beyond the limits of their firearm of choice. Cripples would stack up like cord wood.............................. (That oughta fire you guys up)
  13. I saw on the news Lockport/Gasport area had 14". Here in Amherst we probably had 7" or so. Boy the driving was horrible early this afternoon. I had one close call............I was so spooked I had to stop for a beer. <<grin>> It is much colder now and the roads are much better, still snow covered but much better traction if that make s sense.
  14. That's a beauty, 19" inside I assume? (I loathe outside spreads)
  15. Atta boy, you were paying attention. Pass the corn please.......
  16. I got a second hand set of Cutco about 10 years ago. The didn't come in a block so I had to pony up the,...............gag..........$140 for a block to hold them!! I sent the knives in for a fluff & buff and got the block and haven't looked back. I highly recommend them; pay once, cry once. They'll resharpen and polish for darn near free any time you want.
  17. It isn't that old of a picture but I stumbled onto it the other day and though I'd post it up. I believe I posted it up when it was fresh from the camera?? I never saw this buck other than this shot. I always wondered what the rest looked like. Appears to be an 8pt? Sure is wide! How wide????
  18. They can lift the finger prints easy as pie from those bags. I'd bet ya the perp is in custody already.................... Or not.
  19. Just a cleansing of the gene pool............no biggie.
  20. That doesn't answer the question. BUBBA!!! He'd know..............
  21. I Checked this out last week and couldn't find anything pertaining to target shooting either. Shooting at game I know is not legal but targets are ok AFAIK. Where's Bubba when we need him?
