  1. It is a wonder ANY poults survive with all the odds stacked against them. Weather, predators, (including dogs & cat) and spending so much time on the ground before the can hit a limb as a young bird. Quite a survival story IMO. I wonder what the percentage of survival is from laid egg to adult bird? Pygmy, help me out here!
  2. To tell the truth, the best shot is going to be from the dining room window. The bathroom window is a bit narrow and the bedroom window angle just isn't right. <grin> No chance of ANY legal method of killing him or his friends. About the only way you could bag him is with your bumper.................... He probably has been named by the neighbors as well!! He's a REAL city bird!
  3. While on a job in the city of Lockport last Thursday I got some interesting shots of a gobbler & hen. Ever see a turkey drink from a bird bath? Probably would have been 14" beard if he didn't keep stepping on the damn thing................
  4. Still holding back.......................................................................................!!!! <grin>
  5. Killin' machines......................... Very nice picture!
  6. I'm holding back...............<grin>
  7. Story is a little thin............ What'd the DEC say? You DID call them, correct?
  8. Nice looking gun. Should be accurate & well made to boot!
  9. Might not be a bad idea. Fire up the Orville Redenbacher, hold the butter! Hopefully one bag will be all you need. <grin>
  10. Your really wrestling with your signature line it seems. Probably laid in bed all night pondering what to do. At least you cleaned it up a bit. Nice! I think you need to edit it one more time, take a look.
  11. You must have given that tip to Tim M? He says they taste great too!!
  12. +1 Great looking pavers. Nothing is maintenance free. You get out of it what you put into it and it shows!
  13. Your going to use a Tom decoy and a gobbler call? I'd rethink that plan.
  14. 3 frantic posts in 3 minutes? I don't think I need the final word, I think you've got it! Have a good evening, bubba.
  15. Whining about it? Here you go, here is a copy/paste of what I said in the PM incase you deleted it.......... Where does it say "kicking an ass"? Handing someone their ass is a bit different than kicking an ass. Kind of like putting them in their place? Take it as you want. If you feel threatened, I'm sorry. I think you got a bit more shit from others on that thread than me, how'd you react to them? Maybe you should take a look at your own signature line................. "My father taught me not to throw the first punch. But you can bet your ass I will be throwing the last one" You sound like a real bad ass with that posted. Is that to scare off offending posters, like me? Happy Easter bubba. So............after that PM you deleted it from your sig line. Best move you've made in a bit!
  16. I just reach into the old vest and see what pops out. Dried out and crusty is generally what shows up. A friend gave me some good calls a few years ago and they are still sounding good. For 25 year plus I only used a Quaker Boy Old Boss Hen but recently have just made do with a mixed bag off stuff, sticky or not!
  17. Yea, you did it for me. Maybe you thought it wasn't becoming of an "excellent instructor"? Good move..........................
  18. Nice shots! Maybe wack another 2 or 3??
  19. Your really a piece of work bubba. You just want to keep rolling right along with your little tantrum here. Keep it up, your looking like a stalker......................... Funny, I see you edited your signature line. Didn't want people to get the wrong idea about you being a tough guy?
  20. Dinsdale is the man to talk to. I'm not sure but I'd bet he has a wealth of knowledge on deck building and most other chores like that. Yesterday, while up this way visiting family, he installed a new stairway banister, spindles & posts for me at my house. He ordered the parts a couple months ago after a couple measurments and some pictures via the PM forum here. The man is the finest craftsman I've run across. He was wayyyyyyyy over qualified for this job and good company to boot!!
  21. The pic above wasn't "in the field" My Bad. Here's one from PA early ML season last fall. Kind of light moment on the first day "in the field" for the season. I sent it to my wife via my cell phone to prove I wasn't in Vegas.................<grin>
