I'll be damned, I was just going out shopping for a new diesel pusher motor home this weekend. I guess I'll see who else in town has a model or two I can road test. I wouldn't give Camping World a dime for anything now. -
I'd be careful giving the DEC too much credit. <grin> <LOL>!!!! Other than that, I'd say your post is spot on. As always, its the bullet and placement that beats all.

Great news that all is "well". Guess what, I'd be a bit peaved that the thing isn't done yet. Really, it does not take that long to do a mount. You were at the shop last November and he said it was almost done? Gimme a break................. As always, YMMV.

Sounds like you got a problem...................... I'd be hopeful to get the horns AND the cape at this point. Wouldn't be surprised if all you got was the horns. Good luck and keep us posted. Maybe others can/will chime in with some real knowledge of the guy.

13.5" is what works for me. I wouldn't want one any longer or shorter. I have a friend who has his all cut or made to 12.75 or 13" for deer hunting because 90% of the time he has a heavy coat on and the shorter pull works great, for HIM.

Just something you might want to chew on, a couple times I've typed out some profound statement or response to a thread and then FORGET to hit the POST button. Brilliant I'm not................... Maybe (but probably not) you did the same thing? It's hard to admit, I know. I think the ammo is more important than the choke to get the range and energy.

The price of land in that area could be a bit soft with Kodak's trouble and the economy being a bit troubled. I don't think your going to steal anything but prices could/should reflect the fact that lots of people in deep financial muck........

Lots of great advice here. Nothing like seat time when it comes to fooling the wary old gobbler. IMO, knowing "what to do and when to do it" seperates the men from the boys when talkin' turkey.

If your going to hunt the fields like the TV guys, use them. Like G Man said, in the woods I wouldn't bother. By the time you find a high enough & clear spot it may be too late!!
