Ok 40 acres, does it have marketable timber? If it does maybe look into a select harvest and maybe have them harvest every tree in each area of each food plot your looking for or maybe have them harvest everything in a large section to create one larger food plot. The harvest would create additional cover for bedding and the do most of the work for you and u get of. Just a thought -

Whats the total acreage and are you restricted in anyway? -
It really depends on what your planting, for me I use a york rake behind my garden tractor and that's worked great for small seeds u really just need a decent seed to soil contact.

If you time your cuts right it's a great way to find sheds while they fight thru the branches to eat the buds! This stand is about 5 acres plus I'm working on a roughly 8 acre hinge cut in a current bedding area. Now I just need time to do it all.

Hey all just thought I'd post some pics as we continue to make improvements to our land. This stand marked is about 5 acres in size. We got about 3 hrs of cutting in today and many more hrs to go. I've never done TSI during deer season and am hoping for good things as a result of this. I'll keep posting as we cut. First pic is before.

No it was on the lucken side. This whole seasons been bizarre. My son and I did some walking after our sit this am and barely cut a track in the snow. Checked the T cams and they just confirm it's a ghost town. Happy Thanksgiving

We jumped 3 doe on walk out, no good shot opportunity. Walked the other small property and found a fresh gut pile just inside our property line, neighbors must have shot. Checked the guy pile which was small and had corn all over in it. Not a corn field by me for miles.

I really hope these temps have them on their feet and I hope thats what turns it around for me.

My son and I are going in the am, truck said 24 on the hill so I'm not sure how long he will last but he says he really wants to drag one tomorrow!! I have these foot warmers what are sticky so I think I'm going to stick them under his clothes in hopes it helps
