Your right, I hung a stand yesterday afternoon and wasn't expecting rain while doing it. I was expecting rain later that night to wash away my sent.

I would love to line one up in my crosshairs but I would hate it if I ended up not liking the meat, be a sad waste of a bear.

My buddy did a bear hunt north of the border and his hunting partner shot a bear. Outfitter and guy started skinning it, outfitter cuts out the back straps and says you don't want the rest of it. Said the outfitter didn't even eat bear meat. Ive never tried it but I hear you really have to cook it. I prefer my meat rare so not sure id be a fan.

Gosh we had a 86 Honda 4trax 200sx when my brother and I were early teenagers. We raced that thing hard thru our trails for yrs and yrs and never had an issue. That thing was almost more memorable than my first car.

You all should have a state land challenge. Strictly hunt state land all deer season and who ever shoots the most deer/ biggest point buck wins something.

When you break this all down to its simplest form the answers simple.... its a free country not an entitled country. I feel like people just expect things instead of working for them. If you really want something find a way to make it happen. If someone wants to lease and spend tons on leasing, stands, all the gear so be it. I know someone who spends a couple grand on a lease each yr. He would be better off buying tenderloin all year from wegmans (it would be less per pound I bet), but that's his free choice. I'm fortunate my dad purchased land and its our FREE right to let or not let other people on our land.

Good for you, my wife and I use to do that. Id drive and just start turning down random roads. We did that I'm my mustang one day yrs back in the spring. We were down past Honeoye lake and turned up a road that turned into a rough gravel road and some left over snow. I almost turned around but figured it wouldn't last long and it did. I got a few chips in the paint that day ( stupid me).

We typically see a west south west in our spot on the hill.

Sound right on, It only happens during the day. I was kinda stumped because I never face my cams to the south. The cam is setup right on a 4wheeler path that comes around the corner of a pine stand and a big poplar came down this spring that's probably the cause for extra surface light. I delete all the pics after I down load so I didn't have any saved. Thanks phade

Crazy Tom, we decided last hunting season we needed to get a trapper in right after deer season and have at it. We recently found a trapper and will be showing him our property labor day weekend and cant wait for him to get after em. Id look into finding a trapper or finding some strong yote hunters.

Yeah smallest turtle I've seen in the wild. I thought it was one of my kids toys at first.

For me, I'm not a big fan of heights but when I'm handing a new stand (usually a 15 ft latter stand) I prefer to find a tree with multiple limbs that I can grab when I'm in the stand. I always feel better having the option to grab a limb if needed.

Almost stepped on this little guy in the yard tonight. Glad my son wasn't around cause I'm sure there would have been talk about keeping him,
