  1. Wooly where you at??????????????? This is one thing that i look forward to after the season is following you thru the woods to see you finds. Hope you come back and fire this thread back up!!
  2. That ones just as good as the rest. I love watching the prescribed burns episodes, I'm so jealous they can pull that off.
  3. Well all three of us were able to get out today. Its been a chalange getting up there so far and this was the first time all of us ere plugging away. Today we burned some brush for some heat and continued cutting up trees that were already down. I was so damn tired i forgot to take some pics. Now my feet are up and its football time!!
  4. Gosh I saw the the title and thought id eliminate jails because the death penalty would be mandatory for all crimes, and nuke alomst every country to sand, then I opened the tread to disappointment.
  5. Anyone else feel that last yrs winter had a large affect on the population? Seems like their hell bent on trying to reduce the numbers and i feel they shouldnt go any lower for 8N. Gun season I saw 3 deer at the land. One buck and two doe. Even during bow I saw less does then last yr. I have a 45min drive to work thru farm country and I don't see many deer at all in the fields am or pm.
  6. My favorite eagles version from mtv unplugged 1994,
  7. Well damn grow come help all us members out with your equipment, you can spread your habitat love thru all our woods and make a few bucks. Sounds like a great idea I know!!
  8. Sweet start a thread for the progress. If you dont mind let me know what you find per hr with the dozer work. I was quoted $100 per hr. I checked with admar supply and you can rent them fairly reasonable per day ( I think it was around $400) but they get you with delivery costs.
  9. Sweet find, pretty good for those hills. My son and i did a bit of shed hunting up there today.
  10. it really is a dangerous game. Tueday I was cutting trees down in the wind. As soon as the tree woud start to move, i was running like a girl. Glad your ok
  11. your right, its a good natural food plot. Its not the best soil so i think the first yrs will focus on soil building then id like to transition to soybeans and seed over them in late summer with another blend of something late season. Always wanted to try beans. I can get cheap corn thru NWTF but its such a drain on nutrients.
  12. I think were gonna upgrade and get a much bigger camper. We might go to one or two places but mostly at the land. Nothing like your own rural place where the dogs can run free and no ones around. I not a fan of camp grounds.
  13. Thanks grow, after these pics im really getting impatient and want food in this plot!!
  14. Well i only cut for alittle bit today. I focused on cutting the maples today. I hate cutting trees on windy days but im still alive!! I didnt take any pics today but pulled the cam i have there and have a decent buck in it. I cant wait to get this done. We've spent a lot of time trying to create this and I'm feeling like getting as far as we can this winter and just doze what we don't finish. I'm def happy with the progress we've made so far ( we cut a crap ton of trees) just on weekends when were free. I just want to see it full of food!!
  15. turning into a sh#t show I'm afraid
  16. First thing id do....................HIDE
  17. Hobbies, anything habitat related, trying to make our land the best managed land in ont co. Camping and more camping. Resolutions, exercise via shed hunting starting now. Stop drinking coke and mt dew, quit smoking, pass my next coming exam and increase my value at work. Ill try and break out my 90 mustang for the first time in like 3yrs.
  18. What I would do around the edges of the hinge cut area is stagger the height if the cuts. Maybe right on the edge cut at 2-3ft then as your working your way in cut some 3-4ft, then 4-5ft, that should create a good cover layer, hopefully the bedded deer will never see you coming to access your stands.
  19. Gosh, not sure if i want to see the results if i hang a cam. But how do I get rid of it? I wish i had dynimite, fill it with rocks?
  20. huh.... im lost?? Anyways i have a coyote den on our property, whats a good way to eliminate it?

Well I had to really put up a stink with GE and they finally covered my wilson bill of almost $300. I then called home depot and was able to get $150 hd credit. Better than nothing I guess.
