Grateful for the 2nd Amendment

I believe the main point made by most is that if it wasn't for family they'd be somewhere else and that's sad.

grow they've been proposing these changes for years. Stop freaking out like they're already a done deal.

stick our butts up our own behinds? Your post is confusing. All we're saying is that you the world is not always about to end. Take your tinfoil hat off and enjoy life. Stop worrying about what you cannot change and enjoy the woods, your family and friends.

my cabin is solar powered and off the grid. I win. -
He's not saying you're totally wrong, but you're a little too high on the "freak out" scale for me as well. Mostly, because what should we all be doing? Hiding our "paper" in a mattress like Buba? Dollars are only worth anything because we know that today, we can use them in exchange for goods or services. That could all change. The only real concrete thing you can do to protect your future in the event of a global collapse is to have a skill or service you can offer in trade for goods. Can you fix things? If so, a farmer might trade you some food to fix his tractor. Can you make your own whiskey? If so you may be able to offer some in exchange for medical care. Otherwise, you have to proceed with saving for the future with the current systems we have and hope for the best. The market is generally out of our control... but to not save because you believe it'll collapse might just lead you to being similar to some of the guys i work with. Late 60's and still grinding because they didn't save.

I chuckled a little last night when a commercial encouraging businesses came on tv. "come join our business tax friendly state" "low cost to operate" etc. etc. if it was so good, you wouldn't need to pay for commercials about it NY. so pathetic.

Honestly, I'm surprised to see the divide on this subject. Like many have mentioned you can legally hunt very close today so long as you have permission and I suspect those looking to take advantage of the regulation change will still need to work with their neighbors. Imagine shooting a deer and having it die in a kids sandbox. You need to be ready for that conversation. I think the advantage of the rule helps in public hunting areas or urban areas looking to start deer management programs and will have little affect on the traditional woodland area hunter.

sort of looks you ran over it

you're so out of touch with reality up in your cabin in the mountains it's laughable. Keep "fighting the war" with ignorance and you'll continue to lose. -

I agree with this. However, this guy and friends were right behind my house. I hunted the stand and heard people talking, dogs barking, etc. You might reconsider the "lack of hunting experience" to get a crack at him too. i have better daytime pics that i cannot find -
they make one in the US because they now manufacture here, but it's a compact not a pocket pistol and at that size why not go 9 or .40? Cant remember the model number.
-
They're taking some heat for only being a .380. However, i think people are missing the intended market here. The female gun owner has grown something like 20% in the last few years alone if I remember correctly. Personally I am planning on a .380 for my wife. I'd much rather her hit her target and feel comfortable shooting than to miss completely with a 9mm... especially with only 7 rounds. As a glock owner, I like this gun, but I will most likely be leaning towards an LCP. I think there's more history with them and they're priced much nicer. I believe the glocks are going for $400 retail and some are asking for up to $700 online for those who absolutely have to have one. Wouldn't be surprised to see a 9mm version in this frame come in the following years anyhow.

I envy the outdoor worker on the spring and mild summer days and he's usually busting my balls about being couped up in an office. But then i grin right back during this weather.

Did not intend it to be a factual statement, more along the lines of what the media reports and what Americans believe. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -

you didn't read my post did you? key word "at first". unfortunately for every case like this there's a school shooting. If, and that's the key word. If I could be assured the government wouldn't go to far, i'd gladly support better and more rigorous background and mental health checks. It would not rid the world of nut jobs getting guns, but I believe it would help. Restricting and limiting mags and firearm types wont help anything and these checks and balances still do nothing to protect us from criminals... who don't care about the laws. Legislation just is and always will be a political tool used by politicians to gain votes. Citizens - We have a problem, please fix it Politicians - Look at this law I made (who cares if it worked, it'll go on my campaign adds) Sheep Citizens - Oh look, he put out a law to fix our problem, I'll vote for him -

Kinda awesome about the neighborhoods retired cop population and so dumb of the criminals. I was pretty confused at first when he says he grabbed his Walter and then later says he raised his glock. In NY he'd be in trouble for going out into the yard. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Census data is fact, not an opinion. It doesn't mean people are not also moving to NY, but that more are leaving than coming. A lot of times it's not one thing that causes someone to move but a combination. Taxes, weather, politics, job opportunities. Like most have said, it's generally family that keeps them put and others just simply grow to accept the taxes. I also don't think uprooting you and your family away from your family and friends is something just anyone can do. It's a tough decision that takes some balls. This I know first hand... Some serious fear mongering there. I'm not saying that it's not possible, but should we all just stop saving and contributing to our retirement funds? I've been contributing and been matched dollar for dollar 8% since I entered the work force at 23. At 30 it's a pretty nice chunk. Sure I could lose it all... But if I don't save then I end up with nothing? You have to take some chances in life. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

you can legally squat near your neighbors bushes anyhow right now. you dont have to be hunting. -
I don't think anyone is qualified to judge the state until they've lived elsewhere. When it's all you know, I believe you have no reference to claim good or bad. just my .02
