Leupold® RCX-2 10MP Trail Camera with Controller
Five Seasons replied to 2012_taco's topic in Trail Camera Reviews and Info
i didn't even know they made cameras, but I'll add that i've got some great deals on quality stuff from sportsmans guide. usually discontinued stuff. -
listen. nothing will ever change my mind on crossbows, and nothing will ever change yours. like I said we can avoid the whole rehash right now if we just let bygones be bygones and agree to disagree.
-
drives, shooting at running deer, etc. I'm pretty sure you knew that though, and you're just egging me on so you can go on a rant about how ethical you are and you're not the guy pumping gas in his hunting gear on Saturday afternoon all set to meet up with his buddies and push a block of woods. And that's great if you're not that kind of hunter, but they're out there. or perhaps you're condoning shooting at running deer at 200 yards?
-
oh wait. here it is.
-
a plan from the same great state which brought you such wonderful things as the safe act and other wonderful ideas no useless threads from you this morning; so you stick your nose in here? It was my attempt to stop the 12 page crossbow thread from happening because right now we should all be excited for hunting season and actually be talking about? But if you want to all pile on, that's fine too.

stay on the porch with the pups? surveys aren't fact, I'm sure you learned this in grade school and possibly college and so I will chalk it up to a memory lapse. Citing surveys and referencing them is common in the technology world, but never can they be deemed "fact". oh and look here comes the big buck hunter to gang up, but with nothing to add but his post count.
-
yes Joe. I have sat and pushed on quite a few in my younger days. If that's the only shot you have, that doesn't mean you should still take it. typical gun hunters...
-
whatever, i'm too excited to start hunting then reopening a wound for an argument I no longer need to make. Polls obviously are always fact. Remember how accurate they are at predicting elections? happy hunting boys.
-
i shoot a wins free. look it up. very cool design that's a little improved version of the wrist release.
-
that is your opinion. and please don't post that poll that was put out by the NYCC to prove otherwise. Why do bowhunter numbers keep climbing? this is bow season. we're not talking guns.
-
you shot at a sprinting deer at 200 yards?
-
we usually remove the bottom few screw in steps every year. don't usually use ladder stands. people suck.

I agree 100%. I have minor issues with my neighbors. Thankfully nothing major, but when I've confronted some of them and they act like I'm the biggest dick in the world. I've always been very polite and nice when trying to enforce property boundaries. But when a neighbor asks me what the big deal is, and why do I care? drives me nuts... I pay property taxes, I paid for the land and I bought this house specifically for the land versus a nicer house I could have bought for the same money in a sub-division. Again for me it's more about them believing it's not a big deal, or the previous owner didn't care so they keep doing it. I would like to add that for me, at one of my properties it's not about fighting other hunters, but about those just hiking or dumping on my property, and before someone chimes in, no nobody owns the deer, but a lot of us have put in good time and money to purchase and manage land (food plots etc), and why people feel they have just as much right to hunt it is bothersome.

Climbing sticks/separate sections/screw in steps?
Five Seasons replied to nybuckboy's topic in Deer Hunting
long time screw in climber, but love the new sticks. screw ins for those stands needing a little more hiding (from humans) but sticks if you can swing them anywhere else. gets pricey when you're going 25-30 -
the stabilizers are real cheap. haven't priced the string stoppers. wouldnt invest if they were a lot.
-
a little jab and the crying begins. such thin skin... like someone else said, it all depends on your property.
-
he is talking out of his ass. My wife is taking her class next week. It saddens me that when we registered I started talking about how great it was that rifle was approved in wayne county and his comment was "yeah now all we need to legalize is crossbow". I'm not against anyone having an opinion, but for the instructor of the archery course to have this mindset saddens me.

My matthews switchback has neither. Wondering if anyone has added one of these to an older Mathews that did not come with them. If so, was it worth it? http://www.lostcamo.com/catalog/21/strings-and-string-accessories In addition has anyone swapped out their harmonic stabilizer with the new version? http://www.lostcamo.com/catalog/Stabilizers_27/mathews-harmonic-stabilizer_264 tia.

What have you done this year to prepare for the 2013 season?
Five Seasons replied to HuntingNY's topic in General Hunting
good lord, you built a house! haha. For me it's all the usual trail and lane trimming. 2 new stands and for the first time a small clover plot and some work on some old apple trees this spring. For the first time I also don't think I need to spend much this fall on any gear. -
like most have said, during rut it doesn't even really matter. I do prefer tracking and gutting in daylight though. the great buck bed hunter has entered the thread
-
ditto. best scope i own versus my other nikons.
-
similar. never liked afternoons. jump more deer it seems and your hunt is forced to end, where in the mornings your hunt gradually begins and "you" decide when it ends, not mother nature. i still hunter afternoons though. But if you really want to put horns on the wall, you're going to have to get out of that nice warm comfy bed.
-
depends a lot on what the bear eats. dump bears? no fricken way. Very wild, natural fed? pretty descent if harvested, cleaned and prepped correctly.

for anyone who watches buckcommander... from last weeks episode it's obvious you can kill a deer in a Santa clause or Sasquatch outfit. sometimes it just doesn't matte.r
