    The topic came up because Steve is not a brand for guns and ammo, he's a brand for hunting. My point is that that a call on semi-auto rifles doesn't affect hunters. I never said it doesn't affect the 2nd amendment. You're now the second guy here in addition to phade who is hunting waterfowl with rifle and also promoting shooting running deer. This place is funny. No wonder why the numbers keep dropping and dropping.

    been practicing purs on my mouth call and it's not going so well. I'm pretty good at all the other calls. How long did it take yall?I can get the gargle vibration, but I can't get the pitch.

    i find it interesting that they're blaming Elon... like idk man There are some wales out there that were pumping and waiting to dump. The gov't and now the social pressure on the energy cost isn't helping the bitcoin cause right now.

    I know my life is pretty busy with spring chores and life opening back up some. But I also know we've lost quite a few members recently including a mod. Place can be pretty hostile, and I'll admit that I can be a part of that, but I do wonder if less of us are hunting woods chickens or if we're just posting less. I can say I'm on pace to have my least amount of sits in and it's mostly just due to being really busy with life.

    this thread is a lot less active then years past. But the board has also dropped off quite a bit too. So not sure if that's why, or just less members after birds this year. I was surprised that even last sunday there was only 3 or 4 of us posting.

    Man this is the #1 thing that I struggle with. Should I stay or should I go. Last Sunday I was just sooooo tempted, but then wondering if he would come in eventually as I wasn't sure if he was still in the tree or not. But then of course when I didn't, I kick myself for not getting up and trying. This is what I love about turkey vs deer though.

    it's become political phade and then when the "trust the science group" started to get science that didn't support their side, they just chose to ignore it. Which is utter BS. Just like our president wearing a mask on a video call with world leaders. The honor system seems to be what the gov't is going with, so lets have faith that it sticks. For those that chose not to get a shot, I hope you stay safe and if you get it, your reaction is mild. You had your chance, and I respect your choice.

    I said borderline unethical. And the fact that you've doubled down that it's a skillset that is lost just adds to your derangement.

    Anyone can ask, you're not required to provide it though. Sort of like the 1A argument. You're protected from persecution but there's nothing that could stop your employer from asking and requiring it. and insurance companies it greatly reduces your chance of spreading it, as being asymptomatic and decent hygiene means you're not coughing or sneezing on others.

    i walked all through lowes without one. got a couple side eyes, but by and large I don't think anyone cares.

    no i don't. You wouldn't have already had sports venues open up across the country and in some cases full capacity. You wouldn't have major retailers and states dropping the mandate if that was coming. I ask this honestly. What's left that hasn't already opened up or that is easing mask restrictions that you think is waiting on some passport or scannable card?

    shooting a running deer at any range, let alone 50+ yards is why we all stumble across wounded and non-recovered dead deer. While the shot can be lethal and above average shooters can make it, it's not a high probability shot and borderline unethical. To say you want a semi-auto shotgun (remember we're talking ARs here) so you can blast away at running deer is one of the worst things you've ever said on this site and that's saying something. You cannot change my mind on this.

    i guess i'd argue that a fake card does affect others. but I've said my peace. The system we have today should not require proof unless you're going to a large event or cruise. Faking a card to do that is unethical in my opinion.

    except that I can feel their judgy eyes. That's what pisses me off. We're outside, I've had my vaccine and judging by their demeaner I'm guessing they have to. Nobody cares who you voted for

    there is this one family, happens to be a wife of one of the coaches on my 6 year olds baseball team that has full masks on the adults and 3 little kids under 6. Everyone else at all of our events are off. This family and woman are exactly what you would picture in your mind too. poor kids.

    those canines look like a dog to me... might have even been a pet lol. but I could also see it as maybe a fox or even a bagger. It's hard for me to judge the size well in those pics. I don't think coon.

    Something neat I found too. We started a compost last spring. Super easy and good for the earth kinda thing. We used a plastic bin thing that was like $40 from Lowes. Anyhow, Probably got a few cubic feet or so of compost that I spread in early April. I was pulling up a few weeds in one of the beds and I got hit with a strong onion smell and it ended up being a growing onion lol. I'm wondering if this was from compost? How else could it have happened?

    Cucumbers, beans, spinach, corn and butternut squash went in the ground Friday to join the lettuce, peppers and eggplant. My lettuce doesn't look great so I'm starting a few more in the starter pods. Eggplant looks a little rough too but it always seem to start that way. Finally have my zucchini popping up in the pods and will get them and some tomatoes in the ground this week.
