Still pretty gusty in 8F, and despite being layered I’ve got a chill setting in. Is this deer season or turkey? Geez... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

New property this morning and as I feared it’s a swamp. I have decent deer season and cam pics to tell me it should be ok... but with any property it’ll take some time to figure out. Only a few gobbles around 6 and none near me. 1 distant shot to my north and otherwise quiet. Probably the coldest or at least top 3 mornings of my short career. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
The newest ballistic data actually points to the .270 as being the perfect whitetail gun for our neck of the woods. Old timers often forget that recoil will affect accuracy in many shooters outside of the best and most experienced. So most importantly for youth, I'd rather they shoot a smaller caliber than to flinch when squeezing the trigger. I have 3 boys and my intentions are to buy both a .243 and .270 that get shared and upgraded with age. When they become adults they can choose to go bigger than a .270 if that should tickle their fancy. Personally I only went .30-06 because I still hunt the allusive black bear.

not yet, just tired.

just get disc instead of drum and i'd recommend slotted, but not drilled rotors. On a serious note, I'd say .243 if you're able to invest at a later date in a .270 or if your kid is bigger just start with a .270.

Just got back from Florida and this is the least excited and prepared i've been in the 8 or so years i've been after gobblers and I don't know why. I haven't packed my vest yet. I didn't buy even a little or small thing to add to the arsenal. I just sprayed my gear this am with sawyers... usually I do this and let it dry for a week, so now it's outside needing the wind to help. I usually get the decoys out and fix any indents/folds. Maybe it's me being busy, maybe it's the shitty weather... idk but still excited for the am. Every one of my oldest son's baseball games are at 9am on saturdays so probably all sundays after tomorrow. -
I also own the 835 util-mag. But not the nwtf model. Mine came with the turkey and the bird barrels. Only change outside of optics that I recommend is the limbsaver but pad. With 3.5" shells this thing kicks like a mule and you'll appreciate the bored out chamber and that extra padding.

no disagreement here. Maybe the NYCC should here a little more about that from its members instead of trying to go for the moon shot and failing every year?

actually archery hunter numbers are on the rise

it holds up well. He promised it in 2018 or maybe even earlier and then finally got it passed mysteriously while getting his ass handed to him over nursing homes and grabbing. I'm glad you're getting some benefits. You can get a 1:1 thc/cbd ratio. It's barely a buzz with the pain relief, but a nice smooth "high" that really wouldn't effect you all that much mentally.

First and foremost, I believe the vaccine should be a choice. But a lot of you don't understand how a vaccine works. You should do some research, and not bias research and make up your mind.

I hit a wall about 27 hours later. But it was just fatigue. It was also a long as day at work so who knows. bummer man. Sucks that it's a friday too, but I hear everyone is basically good as new the next day. Did you drink a shit ton of water? I did and I think that helped some. -
I think a lot of this is a result of the demand for bleach and sanitizers. I know a lot of people built pools, but not sure it was enough to add this kind of shortage. For once having a bromine pool has paid off. Try the online guys, their prices are surprisingly competitive giving the weight and hazmat.

because it's doubly good of course

very nice bow and setup. I think you'll be happy once you get started flinging arrows.

Man I'm such a sucker for unique racks. I'd take him over a bigger typical any day of the week. Congrats to the hunter.

of course, what wasn't widely reported is that the officer died of strokes. The examiner stated that the riots probably played a factor, but it will be nearly impossible for anyone or any group to tried for murder. I know facts hurt narratives, but they're important none the less.

I see this argument a lot. To be honest I've felt this way myself and still do to some extent. But dopers can't pay, so they resort to stealing and crime. It being legal but them being liable for the medical bills wouldn't change a thing. Of course, we could have medicare for all though. that'd fix it

Responding for myself, I do not believe pot is a gateway drug. Studies show many who are hooked on opiods today were first introduced to them through a doctor for an injury. I can also say I've never smoked anything other than weed or put anything up my nose and that is the case for millions. Do some people start with weed and move up? Of course, but I'm not sure weed was the driver for that. It's either peer pressure or a need to "kill the pain" which is what happens with many alcoholics. Which isn't a bad analogy. I know you enjoy genny, but I haven't seen you post about week long bingers and getting black out drunk on a frequent basis. It's very much the same.

At least it'll slow the grass and weeds down a little? Maybe Cuomo was right, maybe people really are leaving because of the weather.

see i'm not an all or nothing gun guy. I think our full-auto system is good the way it is and i support background checks. I do think suppressors should be easier to obtain. Where is the line? RPG's and grenades'? Certainly there are some things one shouldn't do on their day off right? Like molesting children... I'm going to extremes, but there does need to be some law and order no?
