  1. http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thelookout/20110302/ts_yblog_thelookout/proposed-texas-immigration-law-contains-convenient-loophole-for-the-help Wow this Lady is something!!! I can't believe this is real but it is.
  2. I have nothing to offer but I wanted to say what a cool idea this is for those that do reload!
  3. Exactly steve863, the amount of wastefull spending by both sides is what has gotten us to the national debt being measured in trillions.
  4. Good for you guys, I'm glad your kids turned out great and I truely do wish that we had more good parents acrossed all generations. Here is a little tid bit for you.. The average age of members of congress and the senate is between 56 and 62. Aside from a money spending machine of a President, they are just a guilty as driving this country straight down the gutter as you see it. What are your age's again?
  5. Thanks Eddie, the best stuff I ever used was Bee's wax that the old man collected when he kept Bee's. Our supply of that is gone now. I have never had a string let go while shooting but i have had a string loop break while about 3/4 draw. It snapped and I punched myself right in the mouth...I swore a little. ;D
  6. I think when I wear out my WB I will have to give it a try, thanks for the info.
  7. I got one a couple of years ago but have yet to use it, I keep forgetting that I have it because we are so used to doing it the regular way.
  8. Nah as I have said in other threads, its way easier to stand and point fingers instead, its easy for them to forget that they are the fathers of the current generations that are "ruining" America. Besides getting red in the face and ranting on the net, they affect nothing.
  9. "The new paradigm is to accept the globalization, and collectivization, of all people. I have a very funny feeling deep in my gut that there are at least a couple posters in this group who wouldn't have a problem with the Progressive collective American Dream as envisioned by avowed, and unrepentant, communist, Van Jones, and the Barry Hussein (WhoseInsane, or HuJinTau, take your pick) Obama-Soetoro administration" This sounds remarkably un-American and un-Patriotic to me. I can't beleive some of you fellas side with this guy 2B....
  10. Any steak would do, as long as you use a meat tenderizer and smash it down a bit. Its one of my many favorite ways to eat venison...but really they are all my favorites cause I like it so much.
  11. What type do you fellas use? I have the cheap foam fold up type, they look like crap to me but I'm not sure if the newer $60+ type are worth it..opinions please....
  12. Side note, what wax do you guys use? I have some Bohning stuff thats like chapstick and I don't think it works well.
  13. "I have been using the open top, brush rest for two seasons now............................I love it. Way better than my old Whisker Bisquit ever thought of being." Just out of curiousity, why do feel it is better than a WB? I ask because I have two of them in the basement not in use, I use a WB and took the Hostage rest's off both my wife and my bow's. Does it perform better? I admit I never gave it a half a chance...haha
  14. Should be fine if it shows no wear and hasn't had alot of shot's through it. I think my fathers string is no less then 20 years old! I would guess that the new bows go through strings faster because of more energy but again you should be fine.
  15. Yes, I think some other states are even higher if I remember correctly?
  16. "Not sure what you mean by this one. MC is separate from private insurance companies. And all payors, MC or private, only pay a percentage of charges. The percentage that they pay is negotiated via contracts- this is why people go ballistic when they see a hospital bill that shows a $100 charge for an aspirin. what most people don't understand is that their insurance company is only going to pay their negotiated rate, regardless of the charge" Right, but the % that is paid back is significantly lower from MC than it is from Ins companies is it not? What I meant was the rest of the general public with ins and jobs makes up difference that hospitals and dr.'s are not getting from MC through higher pay back rates. Not to mention the major lag in the time it takes to get the bill paid, but thats a different subject all together. All of this has lead to hospitals having to change the way they do business, form mergers, and freeze raise's, its deffinetly a changing environment thats for sure.
  17. I didnt address it because I don't feel that anyone was trying to say that. Perhaps you and I read the same sentence two different ways?
  18. nyantler you are missing the point I am making, I never said anything about not hiring people and I'm not sure where you came in with that. The point is, there are already regulations in place that are meant to limit the choices you want to protect like freedom to eat fatty foods and so on. And if you can't understand why it would cost an insurance company more to carry a smoker you are out of it, smoking leads to health issues, insurance co's need to pay out on claims for those issues. So therefore smokers cost more than non-smokers, and no its not the main reason the insurance industry is messed up, that has more to do with medicare and or welfare abuse. They only pay back a portion of what a hospital or dr charges, so we the general public pay the difference.
  19. "but to other people and the environment. and last I knew.. health insurance for smokers cost the same as non-smokers so how does the company (careful because I'm a business owner) have a greater insurance expense for a smoker.. " No it cost's the insurance company more to insure them because of the related problems it causes. Last year my company sent out questionaires asking if we smoked or not, I'm guessing if you said no and they found you did it would nullify their responsibility to cover your claims. "we better start considering reassessing our right to eat fatty foods, use fertilizer, drive vehicles, own a woodstove, use a barbeque grill" They already have statred all of this...no transfat in foods went into effect over a year ago, they want to ban outdoor woodstoves,..see where I'm going with this?
  20. The roads are misserable and they bumped us up to 8 to 16 now...oh boy. at least its going to warm up next week.
  21. I think this is where we will see how valuable the acron crop was to the deer this year. Thank goodness for the acorns!
  22. Well it seems like they are certainly on the way to that doesn't it? I don't smoke but it keeps getting harder and more exspensive to have a habbit.
  23. "States like NY have a higher vested interest to maintain smoking than the companies do." Well I would be willing to bet that the cost of the health care to those who smoke and drink to much far exceed the money the State makes from taxing such things. And I'm not talking about my health insurance cost, although it is affected, I am reffering to the ones who pay not a dime for theirs. We the tax payer foot the bill for the portion of society that does not see a reason to work and is more likely to abuse smoking and alcohol. That may be a reason why smokers get the short end of the stick overall, illness cost's the state more than they can redeem in taxes.
