  1. "The question is... if deer didn't have horns how many hunters would still hunt?" I don't think any of you couldn't guess my answer to this one. If you can't guess, read my screen name. lol
  2. "The locals need to realize that if it wasn't for the city folk coming upstate and spending money it would be no better than living in a third world country" hahaha thats a good one, you clearly don't know where your water comes from or the fact that the city cost's the rest of us money. Third world, hahahaha Please stay down there and hunt in Jersey where you belong. Maybe if you didn't have a poor attitude you wouldn't get in trouble so much. And I'm not buying the whole only the city folks are targeted crap either you only need to look at last years sting operation where 75% of the bad guys that were caught were from upstate. I still can't believe that you think every one upstate is poor, haha thats a good one.
  3. 3 Years? I would have to kill 15 deer in one year to have enough to last me three years! The 2 or 3 I get are gone by the next fall, lol I can see what you are saying about the really tough cuts getting better with canning but I grind that stuff. I though my mom was the only other person that canned stuff still. haha
  4. I am dong ok with it, not that I want it to continue but it's not bothering me a whole lot. It seems like the worst of it is over any way, now all we have to do is watch it melt.
  5. Who was in charge of skinning the Mastadon after you impailed it on your spears....man you guys are old.
  6. Well at least its some what related.. ;D I was surprised to see there were still a few stock parts on his bike, like the cylinder heads. Impressive.
  7. You mean this Texas Mile.. http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/499/8308/Motorcycle-Article/Bill-Warner-Reaches-278-6-mph-at-Texas-Mile.aspx Ya I've heard of it, there was a time when I was really into reading about this stuff and followed it pretty close. Not so much any more but it is still fun to read about. This guy went 278 on a freakin bike..wow! The fastest I went was far less than that and I thought that was something..sheesh Oh how about that 1/2 mile slow down area..no thanks!
  8. I had a 2003 one of those, fun little cruiser but I did not enjoy grinding the foot pegs in corners.
  9. Yea I remember that stuff, insainely fast cars and bikes. Bikes have always been what I consider cheap horsepower, any body can go out and plop 10k on a bike and be fast, cars cost alot more and require more tuning. A bike with alot of money into it is another class of bike though, if you have time try to google John Noonan and his busa, I think it hit something like 256mph on the flats...now that is insane. Even stock the Busa was capable of numbers close to this, 2.5 seconds 0-60 5.5 0-100 sub 10 second quarters and a restricted top speed of 186 mph. Not so good on gas though like alot of other bikes haha
  10. "Love riding. Seems with work and other things going on I don't have as much time as I use to. This is my Honda. 1800 VTX" I can take that off your hands untill you have more time Culv, haha $5 is my offer as always.
  11. Yup that was it, my Father in law has a Fatboy and my brother inlaw has a sweet looking Duece. I think they are more into the t-shirts and gear nowadays than they are riding but thats ok.
  12. We still have about 2-3 feet on the ground up in Saratoga County.
  13. Hey Antler, whats the Full dresser called I can't remember? Well any way we rented one when we went to Vegas 4 years ago and road about 400 miles back and forth to Zion National Park, it was a real nice ride. The conditions however were not nice, sustained winds of 40-50 and gusts of 90 to 100...I thought we were gonna eat it that day. Real comfy riding bike though.
  14. I live down the road from Americade, about 15-20minutes, we call it Trailercade because so many people haul their bikes there and then unload them and roll through town and its the only riding they do. Alot of us have a love hate felling about it, we love the money for the area but hate the idiots that come along with it, mostly the trouble makers (kids) that come from the Albany area. That and the constant reving..haha ya we all know you have loud pipes, so does every one else here. It is a really wide variety type of event though, you can see just about any bike there and the people that are there for it are usually nice. Oh and thanks Geno, if I wasn't married with kids I would probaly have a built Busa right now, after a few thousand miles and two different Busa's I was getting bored with it. I will say that I never came across any thing on the roads that was faster though, not that there wasn't any thing out there, I just never ran with any thing that was. I have ALOT of memories from riding...ahh memories.
  15. I know that guy! hahaha A big ride is 50 miles for them, my wife and I did a 500 miler once for seafood and he thought we were nuts. I had a craving for fresh Lobster, sheesh.
  16. I sold mine last year, but maybe some day I will get into it again..who knows. I miss the speed but I value my life so its gone..haha Here it was...
  17. We already have controlled burns, you don't do the whole state in one year. The Native americans did it for a reason you know, it works!
  18. Haha ok, yes bubba spotted bens Tritronics collar and asked if it was ok to dial it up to get a better stimulation.
  19. haha Thats really funny! I choose mine cause its silly, and I like shooting does. My brother has accused me off killing every thing that came by me with my bow, because I did for a long strecth and most of them were Doe. Good thing I don't shoot fawns, my name would have to be fawnwhacker, that sounds consideribly more offensive.
  20. yea well any body can shoot a Jake, mature Toms are much harder to kill, you must be an amature.
  21. Where are you Bubba?, you are usually good at adding some humor..come on help out. Now back to the topic, not being one sided, Ben began discussing Archery and arrows and penetration and Kenetic energy....
  22. Ok We can do this guys...lets discuss AR for Turkeys, how bout a 9 inch beard length minimum and 3/4 inch spurs....discuss
