  1. Right, over seas is a different story, some place's truely hate us with a passion.
  2. I simply asked for you to leave the un-needed name calling out of this thread, thats all. I never devalued your opinion. And for the record I am fine dishing it out and taking it, other wise I wouldn't post.
  3. Me and Steve863 are two of the least delicate guys on here and there isn't a whole lot of things you can call me to upset me. Lets focus on that part highlighted there, are you saying we should sink to their levels and not be civil? Basicaly what I think happened here was you got upset based on the subject matter and felt the need to put in your 2 cents but really don't have a whole lot to add to the discussion.
  4. Being politicaly correct has zero to do with name calling.
  5. Thus far this has remained a some what civil discussion, there is no need to start the name calling and BS. If you don't feel like you can get your point acrossed (calling some one a moron) in a some what meaningfull manner...don't!
  6. Yup and those masses vote and control the few... backwards ain't it..haha
  7. There is nothing there to argue, I was just stating my veiw on the people that are led by the hand as you put it.
  8. So I picked up the Win yesterday afternoon, $300 and a 12 pack was all it took..haha Not bad shape, shows a little wear, and the one of the choke tubes is stuck in there. A couple of days sitting in oil should cure that. I can now look forward to patterning it for Turkey hunting, it will be carried by my wife when she goes and of course I will use it too. I will get a snap shot later when I get home.
  9. Hmm I wonder then how a handful of polititians seem to be able get such a great number of americans to buy into their crap... somehow a few have been able to take the money of many and squander it to the point of near bankruptcy... how could so many smart people not see what so few were doing right under their noses? It's because.. yes its possible that there are less smart people than there are those that need to be led arround by the hand Thats sounds kinda like the same thing the other side is saying of you does it not? People are quick to beleive in anything the want to hear good or bad. Its not inteligence, it is the unability to see through the crap that is constantly thrown at us from every angle that is lacking in our country. People beleive all kinds of crazy stuff from both sides because they see it on TV or online or where ever and automaticaly its real and tangible to them even if it will never affect them. People, for the most part, vote based on looks and tv commercials nowadays, not beliefs or ideas.
  10. "Talk about ignorant. Did you miss Fort Hood? The Times Square Bombing Attempt? The Portland Oregon Attempt? You have your head in the sand buddy. they haven't stopped. Did you hear Obama last night? he even mentioned how many plots have been foiled in the last year. Are you that foolish?" What about Virginia Tech, Oklahoma City, The Arizona Shootings and attacks of that nature. These are carried out every year from "normal" every day Americans. The point is, these terrible acts are carried out by all kinds of people with all different religious back grounds and we don't try to link it back to their beliefs like we do with Islam. Just imagine if any of the people guilty of the above acts were Islamic, it would be a different news story then eh?
  11. The only thing I'm surprised about is that this type of story doesn't surface more often. I'm sure it happens more now than ever.
  12. "As far as your theory about the NRA seeking profits, the NRA is a non-profit group. People who work for non-profits forgo higher salaries for the less tangible benefits offered by public advocacy" BS, the leaders of the NRA pull down millions, they may not show profits but they do indeed make alot of money and pay it to the leaders.
  13. Hmm I wonder if there has ever been a time in history when Christians went on a killing spree and tried to force their religion acrossed the globe. Oh yea the Crusades that went on for 200 years killing who knows how many. Or what about which hunts, or the Spanish inquisitions, we are supposed to learn from history not repeat it.
  14. I know its crazy ain't it Geno, I think the price came down this year, I do know they were 1500+ last year as it was the first year they made them. I think the speed would be pretty close if you were to do side by side real world comparisons between Hoyt and Matthews and PSE, and you would most likely only see a difference of a few FPS either way.
  15. Honestly there are only minor differences in a high dollar bow and a mid to lower dollar bow, its just wether or not you are willing to pay for those difference. Some cheap bows are better shooters than their counter parts IMO. Speaking of IBO, I found it interesting that Hoyt now lists their bows with the ATA speed rating. Apparently its more realistic than IBO and their bows may well be faster than some other brands, it really doesn't matter they are all fast enough nowadays and the difference between 300 and 340fps is miniscule at 20 yards.
  16. hmm I was looking a bit and I won't save a lot of weight by going to a semi, only a few ounces. Perhaps I should look for a shorter light weight bolt action, they appear to be nearly a full pound lighter.
  17. A guy I work with was telling me the newer Mattews prices are higher this year, I think he said they were in the $1000 range, he says he is getting one maybe. Same bow next year will be 6-700 I bet.
  18. The Hoyts have a price of $1200+ ??? Thats alot of scratch! But they do look cool haha, maybe my next one will be one of them but for now I am fine with a cheap bow.
  19. I'm kinda surprised that its that much more, my bolt action was on par for price. I guess they get you with the semi's?. Maybe its a Msrp thing too, I don't buy many guns so I don't know so I'll take your word for it. lol Lighter and cheaper=sold haha
  20. Its stinks to live in a state where we manage a problem from the back end, raising fees and taxes instead of cutting spending doesn't work as a reasonable alternative to me but we all no spending will not be curbed. And because we are so willing to pay more they will charge more.
  21. I had -22 this morning, you know its bad when -5 sounds good..lol Its not the cold its the humidity that gets you on days like this hahahahaha
  22. I was just thinking about the half day thing, what is the reason behind it anyway? I'm all for a April opener and full day hunting.
  23. Thanks for finding and posting that here Eddie.
  24. Same goes for me up here (about 6 inches of snow)...another two hour commute, yippie! We are in for the below zero stuff again too, gonna be a good weekend to stay indoors. The one highlight is the deer have been in our yard about every other day since we got our first snow in late December, I like to go out and see the tracks. They ate up all of the tons of acorns in the front already.
  25. Nope I'm on a well in the country, I was reffering to the Gilboa Dam and the waters associated with it. I get to worry about shallow wells and fertilizer run off...weee!
