This is why I am a huge fan of micro adjust rests and sights, some times a fraction is all that is needed to make it perfect. It never failed with me, I'd be a hair off and try to make an adjustment and spaz out and move way to much by accident. The good news is Zeus you are almost there and this is a cool thread for others in this situation.

Micro adjustments Zeus, it will move the BH with out messing anything else up for the most part. Move it a hair left. Fantastic BH group.
-
Looks like it's gotta go a hair to the right.
-
Now move on to bare shaft, no vanes just knock and field point. You ain't done yet. Hehe edit to add you could skip bare shaft and skip to broad head tuning.
-
Yes, it's the same no matter left or right handed.
-
Boy you sure showed them!

Move rest left @1/8th

@$600 for the machine, beans anywhere $7 and up and it pays for itself quickly. I drink mine out of a travel mug, 4 double shots daily with one sugar and tiny bit of milk. No stinkin flavors or chocolate, yeckhh.

Good luck and dress lite.

Buy your own machine like I did. So worth it. I recommend a Breville all in one.
-
I think Ill stop in to a Starbucks on my way home and get a double shot while wearing my Under armour Kaepernick jersey.

NAP Killzones and what ever their three blades are called.

Don't forget to look for those 20g Turkey loads, I still haven't found them in any store!

So true, some shops call installing rest's ect tuning when that is far from it. I once had a new string put on mid season and the guy "did me a favor" and adjusted my rest. Needless to say I wasn't pleased and it ending up costing me hunting time. It was way off and not at all what I had asked for, I had taken measurements of where the loop and peep needed to be and he ignored that and did his own thing. I hate the guy! lol

Arrows aren't much cheaper if at all, it is fun to do but cost wise it's a draw. I use the shrink on fletch's for repairs or if I want to make fancy pink arrows for my wife. Bow presses are cool but you can get by with a string separater for most things. Hell I have used a carpenters pencil to instal a peep before. http://www.bohning.com/string-separator/ D loop material can be found at Dicks or bought online for cheap. I tune and do what I can because I don't trust most places. I'm sure flaming arrow (ha) will do a half assed job by the sounds of how they treated you.

IMO other states near us have way way better state land or other public lands open to hunting. Like not even close. Just one mans opinion.
-
Why didn't you just do that stuff yourself and save the $100? Draw legnth is super easy to change. Weight, again super easy. Peep and a D loop. Google it, ten minute job. Tuning? Do it at the range. Serioulsy, if your money is tight, don't waste it on simple things you can do at home.

I'm working on sponsors outside the norm, Depends adult diapers, wet wipes, Generic TP from Price Chopper, Prylosec and Irish Spring. All of which I can use during the hunt, in order.

Here is the sequence I follow.. Shot. pause for commercial break...come back to me wildly fist pumping and jumping up and down saying "I smoked that sucka" even when I hit the deer in the guts or hoof or ear. Usually the deer is staggering around during this sequence but I act like its a fatal hit. Then I fist bump the camera guy, even if there isn't one. Then and only then do I break down emotionally and shake and talk about how hard I hunted and the history I had with that deer making sure to work in my make believe sponsors. After another break magically I do not ever have to track the deer, I just end up a mile in back of it holding it up for the camera so it looks bigger the next day. That should cover it?

This thread is circling the bowl. If you cant find private land to hunt somewhere by knocking on doors and so on, there might be something wrong in your approach. Leasing may make it more difficult to get permission but I wouldn't sat it ruins conservation.

Trials and tribulations of broadhead sighting.....
Doewhacker replied to zeus1gdsm's topic in Bow Hunting
I looked at CE's chart and it calls for a .350 spine for Zeus's set up. -

There is no mystery here, it is a weak spine. No need to complicate things with archery, if tuning doesn't yield results there is something wrong with the set up ie arrows, rest, knocking point. -

The 30 inch draw is what threw the original arrow selection off, once you get longer draw length the charts are deceiving or plain wrong. I went through this a few years ago and had to go to a spine stiffer than the chart recommended. It solved all problems. There are other work around's in this situation such as a lighter BH/FP or lowering poundage and even taking a half inch off the arrow would help. The easiest is to go with a heavier spine though. -
Good GSP's have no off switch, excellent trait in a bird dog.

Done, these guys have connections all over the state and beyond. If my wife wouldn't shoot me I would foster and train her on birds upstate.
