  1. i do the majority of my hunting from the ground and have had a lot of success with bucks and does doing so. Like you said, nothing better than being eye to eye with a deer. My first deer I shot with a bow at 14 was less than 10 yards on the ground. I still remember seeing her 100 yards out in the woods, jumping the fence, walking my exact trail to me, her huge eyes and long eye lashes. Memories like that are really why I do it. Plus I get impatient and like to still hunt haha
  2. I just got one of those swingblaze knives by by outdoor edge. LOVE IT
  3. its a fake lol ranch deer off a website
  4. move your pin to the right. "Follow Your Arrow" when you are adjusting the sights. A spacer may be needed if your pins won't go any further to the right.
  5. Good for you! Hope your good luck continues
  6. oil the window track, remove the screen and tape up a 2ltr bottle, don't let him slip away this year! hahaha
  7. blah blah blah....CWD is good....blah blah blah....your wrong and i'm right....blah blah blah, same arguments same mute points as all of the CWD/Deer Farming topics.
  8. found it haha ranch deer just like I thought! http://www.northcountryproducts-fingerlakeswhitetail.com/whitetails.html
  9. if I knew how to google search an image i'd look that up on there haha looks like a professional shot for a magazine or something
  10. I'd never do it. I enjoy the challenge of patterning deer and trying to get them that way rather than sit over a feeder or bait pile.
  11. I have my fingers crossed!!
  12. I get my life time sportsman, bow hunting and muzzleloader licenses in the mail so all I need is my doe tags. I stopped at the town clerk the other night and got my doe tags and she printed them on the yellow paper stating that she had talked to the DEC the same day and they said that they won't give me a hard time for having yellow tags not that ugly 2014-15 paper. I talked to another guy I know and he got yellow tags too. How many of you got these? And I'm sure we'll hear some stories of people being given a hard time about having these yellow tags...
  13. Sorry I guess that could be a little misleading... "One of the farms I HUNT" haha that better?
  14. probably dumb ass after season is over haha
  15. saw these two guys last night going home from work. It might be tough this year deciding where to hunt with the limited time I have! haha
  16. oh i didn't realize that, I got mine when I was 12 back in 2002... that sucks then haha
  17. if you have a life time license they wave the $10 fee for the DMP but you don't have any better odds of getting them.
  18. I had my pin set at one yardage as the buck went through a shooting lane and wasn't able to shoot, I took my release off the loop to change the pin for a different yardage and when I put my release back on it made a metallic clicking noise that he heard. if I didn't have to change my pin I never would have made a noise with my release
  19. I did the opposite this year! I had always used multiple pins then went to a single pin slider (trophy ridge). It cost me a nice 8 last year so I switched to a 5 pin IQ sight and im glad I did, shouldn't have any issues this year
  20. too bad he didn't get the legs and stomach in it, that would be helpful. to me it looks like a Mountain Lion too, just cant tell how tall it is or the tail because its cut off. how close to the camera was it?
  21. Thanks. I'll make sure to pack all this stuff
  22. That's a good one Wooly...I have those in my hunting backpack but never would have thought about using them for that, definitely a good idea thanks!
