Saw it first hand with ducks in a marsh. Multiple groups ranging from 10 min after to a long f ing time after. Middle of nowhere too. Plain clothes guy, knew who was where, had dog names and shot times. $25 citations and names in the paper. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

They will cite you and know of people (first hand) who’ve been ticketed in a waterfowl scenario past sunset. As for the Jamestown deal- anyone who has half a brain should hear the few facts given and scratch their head a bit. A whole lot doesn’t add up there.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I have two buddies that are instructors and have helped them with classes. Inevitably there are multiple trucks w the bone collector etc logo taking up the back window from those driving someone to the class. Says a lot. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Though I love to be a prick on here- it’s just a devils advocate position for consideration. Besides if the youth season horse chit doesn’t sell them on it- not much else will. Lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Devils advocate role- maybe the younger generation is turned off by the lack of trophy opportunity due to the previous generations valuing quantity over quality. Selfish is selfish- whether you’re hoarding the apples or grapefruits doesn’t matter. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

One thing that jumps out at me is the relative size of our hunting population. Most states do not have this. Our public land opportunities are limited (unless you lump in the adk, Catskills) or areas w low hunter density. Let’s face it that a large portion of the nz is nothing like the sz. We have multiple urban areas and hunter density in wNY, Syr, etc that is some of the highest in the country. Genetics, ag, soul quality all do matter BUT nothing trumps the age of our harvest. The college interns aging deer for the dec are clueless and the data reflects that. Remember a mature whitetail deer is 5. That doesn’t vary by region. That doesn’t stop w winter or any other factor beyond a lack of trigger control. The only people that support a longer GUN season are those that don’t take off time or those that kill all they can. Here management is not what the state cares about, or even knows about (population census anyone?)... license sales. You can see the grass roots shift w habitat management but the majority of gun guys in the south want to expend little effort and maximum lead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Both. I don’t know you, and obliviously you don’t know me....but finding them may be something I have a lot more skill than you at. Point in being- your lack of self control and ability leaves the remainder of us cleaning the mess. Might as well say you can afford a doctor, I can’t- let’s have free healthcare kind of argument based on your comment on private. I’m truly sorry about your lack of ability and success. Keep ruling the forum... we all look up to you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And for the love of God- please stop posting that BS data from the DEC. Jeremy is the epitome of “numbers don’t lie only, liars use numbers” expression. The population here doesn’t have that age structure, let alone the harvest. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

It is astounding to note the disconnect between people on this forum and the rest of the world. Most fall in the “I’m going to do what I’m going to do and that’s my business and it’s legal“. That does affect other people. Lots of them. I loved the line about filling freezers for their families. This isn’t grocery shopping and that entitlement is why there is a polarized hatred between us. The last one.... my favorite if you will....is this big buck hunting group reference. People who don’t consistently kill big bucks hang out on this forum in tit for tat dialogue. The post above couldn’t be more incorrect. Until NY hunters realize every time they pressure deer, shoot at deer, kill deer, break game laws or even just use every legal tag they have is where the problem truly lies; no one will be happy bedsides the license selling entity. I’ve been shooting the Hornady custom ammo 45gr sp and was going to try 39gr blitz es to be a little flatter w more than enough energy for coyotes to 400. Why do you like the 45s and what gun ? Just curious. Thanks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Anything w “NY” in the title is a biased read chock full of advertisements. The one you mentioned is worse than the ON one though. Not many good hunting magazines out there regardless. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

There are MANY kinds of ticks. Geography is the largest indicator of what you could be exposed to. Ticks can live in the cold. However, the colder it is the less they “do” and extreme cold will kill them. They make it through on hosts or being insulated by snow or some other way. A super cold winter with little snow is the best recipe to lower their numbers this time of year and then proceeding. Do you mean Permethrin? There are catalogs of books on ticks and their related vector/disease capabilities. One article not that long ago said they were alive during the time of dinosaurs. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

In my pictures instance above they were alive on the deer alive....until he was shot then they started dropping off. The cold will slow them down. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I have zero faith in the DEC but your comment is even scary than what MrHurst dreams about herd wise. When people lie about lies lying amongst lies ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I’ve watched it from the beginning and loved most of it for he most part....it’s sort of odd I now say despite all the action; I’m falling out of love. Every episode seems like a stall tactic this season Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
