  1. not all bows tune perfectly when setting nocked arrow with a bow square. some have vertical nock travel you just can't correct. IMO nock height has major effects on how solid the bow holds. if cams and other stuff slightly off leads you to be nock high a little then sometimes it's high enough where it doesn't hold as nice. a lot goes into tuning a bow well versus well enough.
  2. depending on where the target sits compared to you holding the bow your form might change a little shooting at a different spot. i suppose you could ruin arrows but shooting BH first and then FP at same spot you should be fine.
  3. don't shoot through paper at a single distance. perfect arrows still flex and bad arrows oscillate. shoot at different distances under 10 yards when you think it's good. Tim Gillingham told me to do this. Then another good shot told me to put more emphasis on "french" or walk back tuning. paper tuning does make weird form quirks show themselves though.
  4. you should get a bow press, vise, and other goodies. then we you have it practical perfect you'll only be free to tinker and screw it up, trying to make what's practically perfect absolutely perfect.
  5. my best times are when i have nothing to do with coincidentally apocalyptic weather.
  6. the most common misconception is almost all private land is better than almost all public land. if you think this you're fooling only yourself. the best private land is no different than the best public land it takes work to gain access. it's just a different kind of work and effort.
  7. there's a thousand questions i could have about how you asked and what was said and probably a million different reasons why people get the door or a 'no' that are valid and not simply the landowner being a dick. how many people ask for permission with the mindset of simply i want to hunt and you have something i want? How many people start the conversation by with a handshake, full introduction, and then ask i was wondering what you need or how i can help you out IF you were to consider giving me permission to hunt your property? any smaller acreage there's a chance it's already hunted and easily crowded. large acreage is a b*&^% to keep and there's always something to be done. still i don't know of any private property that isn't already hunted a fair bit by someone. often it takes a lot more than simply asking and if it doesn't then you're going to show up opening day be surrounded by your peers who thought they were the only ones too.
  8. Treehouse kinda night. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  9. i should've done this. instead i used a heavy set of discs behind the tractor. churned it all up until it was dirt. i planted the QDMA soybeans but they've been getting mauled by the deer. all that's left is weeds and grass coming back. sit we had to do it in order to smooth out the area and get a lot of rocks out of there. at least now it can be mowed or whatever. might disc a couple strips perpendicular to each other and throw down a mix of clover and something else.
  10. i'd go on hunt with Dick Cheney as long as ted kennedy wasn't picking me up at the airport.
  11. when i don't play often my biggest help is making sure my back hand keeps up with the front. you can have the ball that travels the furthest but if it's not straight toward the pin then it doesn't matter. your short game should be totally fine. your office has or should have a practice putting strip of fake turf. only reason i see not to is replacing it with a target in the corner to work on blank bale and form.
  12. Thanks again to@turkeyfeathers this ones pretty juicy and fruity on the front end followed by tangerine rind and craft beer bitterness. Good beer in my opinion. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  13. anyway.... if john gets pulled over is he going to insist the office refer to his car as Vanessa? that's what i really want to know. well and if the office complies.
  14. i did take it as a joke. i mean you were talking about his car and not his truck right?
  15. growing up on a farm where i used tools every day i like his tool collection. i've heard car friends say "it ain't broke, so i'm not fixing it. i'm just making it faster." can't imagine this car has any issues. that's all i'm going to say about that. lol
  16. i can't lie or withhold the truth. in one of these pictures i looked right past the car i should've been drooling over and noticed the MOPAR toolboxs in the background.
  17. i've done what you did with my dad's "chick mobile" and had the other car get pulled over just up the road. lol i've dusted a friend also and got pulled over just up the road when i was younger. tickets are too much a PITA but just in case I don't own anything fast. well not for vehicles.
  18. They make a single pin too. Lol Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  19. Different kind of American ipa. Thanks@turkeyfeathers Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  20. assuming you're continuing the other programs you're doing i'm not sure how you make time. lol
  21. you know you're into it when the front end floats.
  22. i've bailed on all those. used to get them for years though. Quality Whitetails that you get with a QDMA membership is where it's at. Learn stuff versus looking at antler porn and pictures.
  23. so aren't mine. they're plenty bright. why are you selling a sight that's built like a tank??
  24. took me 8 months here in Rensselaer county. i haven't lifted restrictions yet but shooting in competitions in a traveling league it'd make things a little simpler.
  25. i've fondled a Sig 365 multiple times. I will own one. Just not a priority right now. trigger surprised me. i was expecting something horrific in that kind of gun.
