Four Season Whitetail's

Oh i agree with ya. There are a few on here that think running cats and bears with dogs is all about hunting. They say it is hunting by following the dogs across the countryside and then walk up to the tree to kill the animal. I have shot some coons under dogs...Hunting? Well...Maybe harvesting.

I used to feel the same way but after letting them run over 100 yotes down with dogs and Snowmobiles the first winter they ran them here they are now a welcome sight after the deer leave the property and yard up. They can lay the smack down on some vermin with deep snow, rotating hounds and snowmobiles.

Let me know the next time someone you know spends 1000's to keep the coyotes on their property and manage for them. To each their own and the best to them to manage for whatever wildlife they like on their property but when more dogs are being seen then deer, Threats to livestock and pets and even losing fear of man this 1000 acres will decimate every one seen..and some thats not!

No Doubt, Doc you know as well as i do that the Ny DEC will do whatever it takes to get money from hunters. Now things may be getting tight now that farmers and Ins companies are on their arse to keep numbers down. This year alone i would bet some hang up hunting because of no deer sighting. DEC has to figure what pays better...Hunters or Farms and Ins companies?

I have a friend in Pa that sells tractor Trailer loads of 55 gallon drums full of urine to both Tinks and Code Blue. Every Year. I always got a kick out of the 1 deer 1 bottle selling quote.

Funny that you say this because the real truth of the matter is that all farms are 100% tested and of all vectors that can transmit the Prions they are the only ones 100% tested. Whats that tell ya?

Really...You post stuff on Theory? How about looking at the science and facts that show there has never, ever been a case of the CWD prion being found in any farmed or wild whitetails deer..Ever. You may want to read up before telling someone else to! The states can make it a pain but cant shut down farms from making scent. All they will see is more lawsuits. When they shut down the farming industry that has been 100% proven to hold and spread the CWD prion they will have a tough go in court trying to prove they can shut down someones income on a Theory. Just an FYI..Whatever happens in the scent industry has no impact on my business. My family and friend will still be using the best scent available regardless of a theory.

Go north my friend. Even the Tier if you add in Muzzy season. I believe it would be better to have no guns in any part of the rut and breaks in the seasons. Have 7-10 days for antlered then a break and 7-10 days doe only. Split things up, The seasons up here are just nuts and add in no killing females and Ar you get the whole picture.

Thats not really a good way to figure that part out. For every buck entered there are probably 2 that are not. I know a few on here say they dont and i could show ya 4 taken in Ny and never booked. Ny does pretty good but i think has what it takes to do great!

Yeah 25 if you can get someone out there to charge them. Good luck with that. Maybe they want the deer gone so bad that they really dont care about your/our trespass problems?

Yup this state is going into the ******* because of farmers and Ins companies, If you have land you better protect the animals, If you dont have a lease, You better think about hooking onto one. Just going to make another deer industry much stronger. Every year a hunter pays more for tags and see's and harvests no animals they are going to go one way or the other. Some will give up hunting altogether an others will do what it takes to get an animal. I should see how many tags i could get for 750 acres just for ***** and giggles.

The difference is that when you give outlaws 8 weeks to break the law the numbers add up. That is not doe numbers, Thats how many extra hundreds-Thousands of young bucks taken out. The ones that i know that do it or have done it take the first antlered buck they see and the old lady's tag goes on it and then they hold theirs for the rut and a bigger buck. Shorten the season and shorten the crimes.Which in turn saves lives. You can still shoot little bucks if thats your choice but you only have 10 days to do so.

Agreed BUT they do not have to kill to ruin a piece of property. In our case we had neighbors that lost 9 fallow deer in 1 night. Not eaten.Just killed. That i lay part of the blame on poor fence upkeep but the case was still over population. When you have them growling at you while gutting a deer or have 2 pin your Lab up against your back sliding door in your yard, you have a problem. Even the little they may kill, in many numbers they will ruin a piece of property just being on the landscape. Whitetails and turkeys will vacate the area and the small game population will be decimated. Been there, Done That! Didnt buy property for their enjoyment. Now add in livestock and the plot thickens. I like the part about the studies they they will just keep coming back. Like i said, after 4-5 years i am just starting to see and hear them again. Game On!

P&Y i am sure Ny could have a showing if more entered their deer. B&C i am sure there would be none. 1 every 5 years or something.

You could still shoot a little buck or a doe if you so choose. You will just have different set times to do so. Pretty Simple.

I know a few on here say we cant be like Ohio.Illy Kansas and such but i say bull to that, No guns in rut. Shorten the seasons. Have doe dates and Nyb would grow some huge bucks. Look atbthe ones that were taken this year on Antlers site and i know of a few brutes i saw that would have fit well on that page. Feed them and give them some age and look out!

If one calls war on their local yote population 365 24-7 you will make them disappear and your deer and turkeys will come back. This repopulation crap does not hold true if you keep killing them. We shoot,Trap,Poison and they go bye,bye. This war was 3-4 years back and i will say that until this year we did not see or hear many at all. This fall a few were taken during deer season and we did see more than we like to see. The dogs will run when we get some snow and by summer the problem will be over again for a few more years,

Yup piles of fur around here but why waste them when worth dirt? I will wait for demand.

Lol Just about every weekend except the 1 week stays. Headed back Friday night at 6pm for one last go around with the muzzy. Took a couple more does off the park last weekend with the end of shotgun.

You must have went back on Rt 81. If you would have taken Rt 11 you would have seen my place.

And do tell why a pig would breed more in one state than another? We are told that they have no problem with the cold weather so what would change their breeding? Bottom line is that they cant be to bad of a problem because people just dont see them. Blown way out of style.
