    It has really surprised me how little discussion there has been about the Safe Act on this forum, especially being this is one of the only hunting forums in NY state. Guess it shows that there still is a chasm between sportsman (bolt action)and guys who like to own semi auto military style rifles.

    The majority of people in NY don't like conservative Republican ideas, they have just gone to far right over the years, almost back to 1950s ideals. I myself don't really like them either, yea I like some of their ideas but man too much of their stuff has gone way over the top and they just seem to wanna serve the top. This is one of the biggest problems we face as gun owners in this state. We are tethered to a sinking ship.

    Yea, why not adopt some poor mutt that they will euthanize this week and help put those money hungry breeders out of business. My daughter went on craigslist and adopted a Husky some Mexican family had chained to a concrete block in their yard 24/7. The thing was boney and sick, you gotta see that Husky today. My son adopted a little mutt from some poor southern trailer trash in Texas also, and she's now got a great home, happy and healthy.

    Republicans are our biggest problem, Dems wont have us(gun people)and don't support gun owners rights, and Republicans just seem to be doing everything nationwide to self destruct by screwing with women, the middleclass and minorities. It just seems everything they do lately is to help the rich and put the screws alittle tighter to working people.

    The rest of the law (safe act) was upheld which is crap. But this is only the beginning, fighting for your rights against a determined enemy isn't going to be a walk in the park and isn't for the squeamish, hang in their guys/gals and stick with the cause...
