  1. Yes, Once thought I was going to have to put the hot wrench on that thing but did manage to get it out with the wrench they provide. I do keep the threads clean with a tooth brush and brake clean, then put a light coat of anti seize on it often......Good point.
  2. You should just learn to sit back and enjoy life alittle my friend. Getting all worked up over this crossbow stuff will make people think you are an Arschloch..
  3. great pics, and are those bunnies doing it...
  4. I really didn't want to go to loose powder just because of the convenience of pellets but I was sold on the Black Horn 209 by a guy on a MZ hunting site. The stuff is great. I used to hunt with a Savage M10-11 just for the easiness of being able to use smokeless but now I hunt with my CVA using the Blackhorn and its pretty much the same thing as using smokeless. I gave my M10-11 to my son and don't miss it a bit. These new CVA rifles are so simple and easy to clean, basically a rifled pipe with a threaded cap on the end, I like simple. Oh and im doing 1.8MOA @100yds with 80grns of BH209, and the Hornady 250grn SSTs. Optima rifle
  5. there good cams, I have 2 of them and they have taken thousands upon thousands of pics each and have been in service for about 4 years now, batt life is good also......
  6. Blackhorn 209 powder, easy, easy, easy to clean and none corrosive, that's something no other black powder can say. And hornady 250 grn sabot bullets. An easy and deadly combo......
  7. Seems that Big Tabacco and the politicians it has gotten elected have done a pretty good job of convincing America that cigarettes really aren't bad for you, WOW this country is doomed.
  8. you should just hunt from the ground.
  9. I'v gotten them later than this. I had 2 big toms chasing after a loaner hen late season and they never made a sound. They ran right by me and when the hen ran right behind my barn I called, they turned a marched right back to my decoy and I popped one. Late season they will actually start coming to calling again. Right now by me they are coming out of the henned up stage and should respond to calling again...I hunt right to the end of the season.
  10. I guess I'm just too old, I prefer my firearms unencumbered by electronics...Just wood and metal and maybe a synthetic stock for me.
  11. Terrible, In a perfect world the cop would have backed out. But who knows how it really transpired.
  12. Do you think Islamic extremists who are stuck in dead end fast food jobs put boogers in our food?
  13. I don't know but I can tell you turkey hunting in my area sucks.
  14. I think its more of a political statement to test the boundaries of what citizens can own. Similar to that crossbow the Tach whatever thing that PSE sells.....
  15. Never saw one without, weird? He couldn't have been too intimidating in the ole fight for a mate arena. Very nice bird nevertheless..
  16. We are already getting to the point of the NY season where things start to diminish. Our season starts about 2 weeks too late here in NY.
  17. NH deer hunting and taxes are terrible, only 12k average deer taken any year, NY is about 40 times that.. My friend moved there in 08 and his property taxes went from 7k to 13k in that time and he cant make any money? And Texas, your better off sticking your head in a toilet. Remember the grass is always greener.
  18. I will try and know what I speak of in the future before I make comments which refer to the highly exalted Geno, but in this case I wasn't talking about you...Im sure your very involved...
