Subject: [NYSRPA-alert] Ulster Co. alert 2/19 meeting Gun owners are encouraged to attend the Ulster County Legislature meeting this Tuesday night, 2/19. A large attendance is important to counter an expected opposition hoping to prevent the resolution opposing the SAFE Act from passing. The meeting takes place at 7:00pm at UPAC on Broadway. Jacob J. Rieper, Vice President of Legislative & Political Affairs New York State Rifle & Pistol Association

So God made a liberal
sits in trees replied to fasteddie's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
my Lord, this is so dead on, its like he pulled the thoughts right out of my head. can you imagine if the middleclass American public ever became united? the biggest portion of the country's population! the backbone of the nation! the rich do such a good job of keeping us divided and they sit there and laugh while we are eating each other with all this conservative/ liberal crap....just think, a party of people who work for a living and raise familys who they want to send to college, the people who pay the highest tax rates and just want to be able to afford a nice home and have a decent life....hey did ya hear ground chuck will go up to 14.95 a pound when the sequester kicks in.... -

Heres something you all can do instead of arguing about BizarOland or whatever the hell he calls himself. Hop in your car on Feb 28th and head to Albany to make a showing of support for what you all complaining about here. Im hearing alot of guys on this thread crying about Cuomo stealing their rights, but how many of you showed up at any of the 3 Pro Gun Rally's in Albany so far? The first rally was great, an estimated 6000 of us, very loud and sent chills down my spine. the second rally not so much only about 400 showed due to bad weather, ok. but the one on the 12th only 800 or so showed, looks like we are weakening and lossing steam, just like Cuomo said we would. WE NEED 10 thousand loud voices in Albany on the 28th, we need an ocean of heads and signs from one end of the park to the other, and for cryin out loud dont tell me it doesnt matter and rally's are a waste of time, IT does matter because the Jackasses that turned on us and voted too steal our rights will be looking out the windows of their secure and heated offices on the 28TH! -

why dont we just forget about Biz ar O world for a while and discuss the people who make the laws and how to fight them instead of trying to rattle some guy who couldnt care less and even if you could make him it wouldnt accomplish much... -

NY city's crime rates have dropped because alot of the scum that lived down there migrated up to our upstate towns. Now we have people up here locking their front doors and cars every night for the first time in history. And with all this news of home invasions up here people are now sleeping with their shotguns next to their beds instead of in the closet or gun rack. Alarm system companies are making a killing selling their wares when years ago selling alarms to upstaters was like trying to sell ice to eskimos. And now with all this they want to DISARM US! -
i mean really, who is anyone to tell someone what they can defend themselves with in their own freakin home. it just so happens that the weapon most suited for women in a home defense situation is a cut off shotgun without a stock and only a pistol grip and short barrel. something a small framed female of 115 lbs can aim and hold on target without the usual sag they display when aiming a full lenght long gun for more than a couple seconds. and these idiots are telling us we cant arm our women with the most effective weapon possible, screw them and their schizkauph laws!

i hate lowlifes like that and feel no pitty wharsoever when one gets their head blown off by a homeowner.

Thinking of getting into food plotting?
sits in trees replied to G-Man's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
yea this is spot on, once you have it in theres no need for anything major in equipment to replant in following years, just a tiller or something along those lines. renting would be a great option for the first plant and preparing soil. -
stayin put right here in NY, but will go back n forth between here and Fla in the future, or sell the Fla place and get something in another warmer state with better hunting perhaps. but i will never leave this state despite the crappy gun laws its still a great state for business opportunity and the place to make money for the younger generations of my family.

wow things on eastern LI are messed up, still cant get out of their houses, my family down there are still unplowed, there are cars all over the roads stuck so they cant get plows thru, my sister says they are moving them with bucket loaders with forks...

Thinking of getting into food plotting?
sits in trees replied to G-Man's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
not sure about using ATVs but i know alot of guys do, and make some pretty good food plots. if you are going to be tilling rocky soil you will need a tractor, something with some weight and arse behind it. quads are a little light for real tilling in rocky soil and if your wanna due larger plots i think it has to be a tractor. a 4wd tractor is not necessary, i can pretty much get anywhere with my massey which is going on 50 years old. i tool right thru the woods with it as long as it fits and my marshes are real dry. but if marshes are real wet like they usually are in spring then 4wd or not your gonna sink and get stuck and that aint fun...once you have plots established than i see no reason that the couldnt be maintained with lighter equipment like a 4 wheeler... -
my sister in medford LI has over 30 inchs with drifts over her waist. she couldnt even see the cars parked in front of the house and as of right now her neighborhood has not been plowed, her and her husband are stranded.

Any Predictions?
sits in trees replied to Doc's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Is voting Republican the answer to all our problems, I think they are a major part of the problem. If we get enough people in NY to show their support of gun ownership the politicians will take notice, Democript or Rebloodlican. The numbers of people in favor of gun ownership are stronger than ever in NYS with millions of young folks buying guns and getting into the shooting sports. Gun purchases in our state have been at record levels for years now, Heck i dont know of any younger guy out there that doesn't an own AK or AR today. Look at states that have a stong gun lobby, their Democrat elected officials would never dare trample on their rights. People form politics and we have to garner these new found numbers of gun owners in NY to tell politicians what they want and not sit there and say, duuhhh vote Republican, duuhhh vote Republican, see where that got us. Sure they will promise you the world and the 2nd ammendment all in one neat little package but you all saw what happened with that didnt ya. -
i think the only reason our Gov wants to go after these so called assault style weapons which are used in less than 2% of gun crimes is #1 they have something planned and they know we wont like it. #2 they know this countries economy is going to fall causing major long term shortages of things like food, fuel etc. I really dont believe it has anything to do with them being concerened about keeping us safe, its more about keeping them safe..

With Benito Cuomos new law you will be required to do a criminal background check when you purchase ammo. Heres the tricky part. You go out and purchase say 12ga slugs for hunting and they do the background check now its in a NY state police database that you own a 12ga shotgun. You buy .308 ammo you are now known to be the proud owner of a .308 caliber weapon. So even if you do not have any guns that fall under the "need to register" catagory part of this law such as ARs or AKs, any gun your buying ammo for will now in fact be registered when you purchase ammo making it all that much easier for the state police to come to your home with a list of what they expect to confiscate....Ole Freuhrer Cuomo is quite the shrewdie aint he...and so much for you hunter types who kicked back and said, ahhh the new law wont affect me, i aint got none O them AKs or ARs anyways...im safe..
